Sunil is seen wearing a saree in a video, giving the famous Kabhi Khushi Kabhie Gham sequence a modern spin! With a Bollywood twist, it’s comic gold, and the video is already going viral on the internet.

In the video, Sunil Grover can be seen playing the role similar to Jaya Bachchan in the skit, holding an aarti thali in his hand. Shah Rukh quickly realizes that something is wrong as he stoops to touch his foot and imitates Jaya’s motion. Mummy, why are you wearing babuji’s shoes? he questions. “Dhyaan se dekho beta, main babuji hee hu,” replies Sunil with a smile, before mimicking Amitabh Bachchan and saying, “Everybody shava-shava.”

Then, still dressed in sarees, Shah Rukh Khan and Sunil Grover begin dancing to the song’s signature steps as actors Ayushmann and Aparshakti Khurrana can be seen laughing uncontrollably in the background. The award function was being hosted by the brothers Khurrana as well.

Shah Rukh and comic king Sunil Grover recreated the Om Shanti Om sequence in which he exclaims, itni shiddat se maine tumhe paane ki koshish ki hai, ki har zarre ne mujhe tumse milane ki saazish ki hai. He performed a sequence from his popular movie Mohabbatein as well.

As soon as the video was shared online, a user said Shah Rukh Khan looks handsome. Another user said Sunil Grover never fails to entertain. A third user said Shah Rukh and Sunil has the best comic timing. Others also enjoyed the video.

Meanwhile, Sunil Grover, who rose to fame on The Kapil Sharma Show for his portrayals of the famous fictional characters Gutthi and Dr. Mashoor Gulati, will soon return to the original cast on the OTT streaming service Netflix.
