A day after videos from Kabul airport surfaced showing several Afghans clinging to US airplane’s wheels in a desperate bid to flee Afghanistan after the Taliban’s advance in the country, the US Airforce on Tuesday said it had found human remains on the wheels of the aircraft upon its landing.

The US Air Force has said it is investigating human body remains found on the wheel of a C-17 aircraft that took off from Kabul. The Air Force has issued a statement saying on Sunday, the C-17 Globemaster 3 aircraft of the US Air Force landed at the Hamid Karzai International Airport in Kabul to deliver the necessary equipment. However, hundreds of Afghans entered the plane before the necessary equipment could be removed from the plane. Seeing the deteriorating situation, the crew decided to take the plane back as soon as possible.

A US Air Force C-17 aircraft had landed in Qatar after taking off from Kabul on Monday, where the remains of a human body were seen on the plane’s wheels. Thousands of Afghans were seen hanging on the wings and wheels of the aircraft in order to flee Taliban occupation in Afghanistan as it took off from Kabul on Monday.

In another horrific video that went viral on social media, two people Afghans who had clung on to the underbelly of a C-17 Globemaster were seen falling down from the plane. It appeared that desperate Afghans were clinging on to either the undercarriage of the C-17 or the landing gear of the transport plane when they got flung out due to the huge G-force exerted during take-off.

The Taliban’s offensive in the country escalated after the withdrawal of US and NATO forces. The terror outfit had come to Kabul after capturing all the big cities including Kandahar, Ghazni. The militants group have captured Kabul in just 22 days.

In other India news, Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Tuesday evening chaired a high-level security meeting to assess the situation of Afghanistan.

As Taliban takeover Afghanistan, thousands of Afghans thronged the Kabul airport to catch any flight on Monday in a hope of flying out of the country. At least five people have been killed amid chaos at the Kabul airport, news agency Reuters reported.

Earlier, the reports said in order to disperse the crowd, the US troops fired in the air. However, it is not confirmed that how the people were killed inside the airport.

The Taliban took control of Kabul on Sunday and since then people from all the border areas of Afghanistan are trying to flee the country. Kabul Airport is currently under the control of the US Army due to which many people had stormed towards the airport with their luggage in a bid get on the plane.

However, the Afghan airspace has been closed and a NOTAM or notice to airmen has been issued to say Kabul airspace is no longer usable. Reports said an Air India aircraft tasked to bring Indian nationals from India will no longer be able to go there.

Talking on the situation in Afghanistan, Afghan nationals living in Delhi said Ashraf Ghani has done wrong with the Afghans. However, demanded that the Indian government should grant visas to Afghans to come to India.

Taliban has taken full control of Afghanistan on Sunday. The militant group after taking control over the presidential palace said they will soon declare a new Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan. President Ashraf Ghani on Sunday fled the country after Taliban took control of the capital state of Afghanistan. According to reports, Mullah Abdal Ghani Baradar is likely to become the new President of the country.

In other India news, the Taliban fighters are going door-to-door with the list of unmarried women aged from 12 to 45 for their fighters to marry.
