Veteran journalist Kamal Khan passed away on Friday morning after suffering a heart attack. He was the bureau chief of NDTV’s Uttar Pradesh team and he used to cover the state.

On Friday morning he suffered a heart attack, after which he was taken to hospital and was declared dead there. As soon as the news of his demise was out, his friends, colleagues, and people started pouring in condolatory messages.

Journalist Rajdeep Sardesai wrote that it is such sad news to report this morning. Kamal Khan, NDTV’s fine reporter from Lucknow and a dear dear friend passed away this morning. I will miss you dearly my friend and our long chats. Lots of memories! Devastated. Om shanti.

NDTV also shared a post for Kamal Khan and wrote that they are all devastated by the loss of Kamal Khan, an NDTV veteran and one of the country’s best journalists.

Kamal Khan was married to journalist Ruchi Kumar. He lived with his family in Lucknow’s Butler Palace’s government bungalow. He breathed his last there in the bungalow.
