Prime Minister Narendra Modi is all set to inaugurate the first phase of the Kashi Vishwanath Corridor project on Monday, December 13. This inauguration mark has been the dream project of the prime minister and is being live-streamed in 20,000 temples across the nation.

As per media reports, Shri Kashi Vishwanath Dham’s construction is worth Rs 399 crore and is spread over an area of almost 5 lakh square feet. In today’s ceremony, 23 buildings are said to be inaugurated and Varanasi is all decked up to welcome PM Modi.

Ahead of the inauguration, PM Modi along with CM Yogi Adityanath reached Varanasi’s Lalita Ghat from Khirkiya Ghat in a double-decker boat wherein the former took a dip in the Holy Ganga river.

As reported by PTI, the Kashi Vishwanath Corridor inauguration is being captured by a huge drone, four jimmy jibs, and 55 high-definition cameras. The inauguration ceremony is worth over Rs 700 crore and is a three-day-long event that will end on December 14. Apart from inaugurating the temple, PM Modi will also address the citizens in Kashi.

According to a report in The New Indian Express, the Varanasi divisional commissioner, Deepak Agarwal had asked the residents to decorate their houses and make the celebration as big as Dev Deepawali so that visitors during the event spread a positive image of Kashi across the world.
