In the wake of a video that went viral, depicting Mithilesh Bhati, a neighbor of Sachin Meena and Seema Haider, referring to Sachin with derogatory terms lappu and jhingur, the couple’s attorney, AP Singh, has issued a warning of potential legal action against her. Singh asserted that Mithilesh’s actions have tarnished his client’s reputation and shared that they are contemplating taking appropriate measures in response. However, the lawyer did not specify whether this would involve pursuing a defamation case or issuing a legal notice against her.

The neighbour’s comments referring to Sachin Meena as Lappu Sa Sachin have landed her in legal trouble. Seema Haider’s lawyer, AP Singh, emphasized that in a diverse nation like India, insults based on factors such as skin color and physical attributes will not be tolerated.

Nevertheless, Mithilesh Bhati defended her words, explaining that she spoke out of anger and those remarks were inadvertent. She asserted that her intention was not to insult anyone.

Sachin and Seema’s romantic involvement began during the lockdown while they were playing the game PUBG. Seema, originally from the Khairpur district in Sindh province, Pakistan, arrived in Nepal and subsequently India on May 13, 2023. The couple initially resided in Rabupura for a brief period before relocating to Ballabhgarh. They were apprehended on July 4 but were granted bail on July 7. The case filed against them includes charges under section 14 of the Foreigner’s Act and section 120-B (criminal conspiracy) of the Indian Penal Code. There were also allegations of Seema being involved in espionage, prompting the Uttar Pradesh Anti-Terrorist Squad (ATS) to join the investigation and question the couple on July 18.

In an effort to avert deportation, Seema submitted a mercy petition to the President of India, seeking Indian citizenship. Celebrating India’s Independence Day, Seema Haider, Sachin Meena, and their family members were seen in a video raising patriotic slogans at their Rabupura residence. Seema expressed her desire to visit the Red Fort on Independence Day, but the ongoing investigation hindered her participation in the event.

In a two different virtual hearing incident, a former Punjab DGP and a Madras High court practicing lawyer were awarded with punishment for their inappropriate behaviour during virtual hearing.

In a first incident, a Delhi Court has issued a warning against the former Punjab DGP Sumedh Singh Saini, accused in 1994 triple murder case, for attending virtual hearing lying on his bed.

Special CBI judge Sanjeev Aggarwal asked Sumedh Saini to be careful in future with his demeanour and also ordered to maintain the decorum of the court while attending virtual hearing. Saini has already clarified that he was unwell and down with fever, the judge said no medical certificate in this regard was given.

Saini and the three other policemen – Vinod Kumar, Ashok Kumar and their driver Mukhtiar Singh are an accused of kidnapping and murder by the CBI in the 1994 case in Ludhiana.

In similar incident, Madras High Court advocate was suspended from practice for his alleged improper behaviour with a woman during virtual hearing of a case. The court also directed the Tamil Nadu Bar Council to take appropriate disciplinary proceedings against the lawyer.

In the viral video, the lawyer were seen in an intimate posture with a woman during hearing a case through video-conferencing on Monday. The court also directed the the City Police Commissioner to take steps to block the circulation of the impugned video clipping in social media.

The bench had earlier said the court cannot afford to be a mute spectator and turn a Nelson’s eye when such brazen vulgarity is publicly displayed amidst Court proceedings.
