Longtime associations between airports and expensive costs exist, especially when it comes to food and drink. The prices of goods at airport eateries and shops are frequently far higher than their original prices. The issue of high airfares continues to be a worry despite the efforts made by the authorities to make air travel more convenient. This issue was recently brought up on Twitter by a woman who recounted her experience with paying Rs 193 for an order of Maggi noodles.

After posting a picture of the receipt for Masala Maggi noodles she had bought at an airport, a Twitter user stirred a discussion on the social media site. Other Twitter users criticised the price at the airports, which is nearly four times what it costs, pointing out that a bowl of Maggi can be purchased for 50 rupees in the majority of locations.

YouTuber Sejal Sud shared a receipt from her purchase of Maggi noodles to draw attention to the exorbitant prices at airports. Maggi typically costs between Rs. 10 and Rs. 50, thus the airport’s high pricing infuriated online users. According to the invoice shared on Twitter, the noodles originally cost Rs 184, but as taxes were included, the final price increased to Rs 193.

Sharing the receipt on Twitter she captioned the image, she just bought Maggi for Rs 193 at the airport. She also questioned why would someone sell something like Maggi at such an inflated price something she doesn’t know how to respond to.

The tweet has had over 8000 views since being posted. Users of the internet were extremely outspoken for obvious reasons. Taking to Twitter a user said, I suppose aviation fuel was used to make this Maggie! Still, it’s the least expensive place to eat in the airport! Ironic yet accurate, remarked another.

However, some section of users were also there who trolled her for eating Maggie at the airport. A user said that out of everything available why does she eat Maggi only?

Another said, she knew the price before ordering so why she is now making it an issue?

Meanwhile, others demanded that authorities step in to stop these actions.
