The Dam Safety Bill, 2019 on December 3 passed in Rajya Sabha amid the sloganeering and disruption by opposition MPs over the suspension of 12 MPs on December 1. The Bill provides for the surveillance, inspection, operation and maintenance of specified dams in India via a regulatory body.
