India on Saturday recorded 80,834 fresh coronavirus cases with 3,303 Covid related deaths in the last 24 hours. The health ministry said the active Covid cases in the country have declined by 54,531, taking the active caseload to 10,26,159.

Karnataka government said it will ease Covid-19 restriction in the state from June 14 except few states which having a higher positivity rate. The report said the state government will impose a night curfew starting from June 14 from 7 pm to 5 am in all other districts along with a weekend curfew to break the Covid infection chain in the state.

As Delhi witnessing a drop in Covid cases the government issued new Covid lockdown guidelines in which religious places will reopen in the city, however, visitors will not be allowed. The government said, to maintain the Covid situation in the city, weddings will not be allowed at public places or banquet halls till further order, people can marry in the court or at home with a maximum gathering of 20 people. Only 20 people will be allowed to attend funerals.

Easing Delhi’s Covid-19 lockdown even further, Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal said, from Monday at 5 AM all restaurants in the national capital will be allowed to open at 50% seating capacity. All market complexes, malls in Delhi will now be allowed to open from 10 am to 8 pm.

The Goods and Services Tax (GST) Council on Saturday cut rates on Coronavirus-related drugs, testing kits and oxygen concentrators, but kept the rate for vaccines unchanged.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Saturday during a video conference said the special responsibility be given to democratic and transparent societies to prevent future pandemics. Addressing the G-7 outreach session via video conference, PM  Modi also expressed the Country’s commitment to supporting collective endeavors to improve global health governance.
