Fathers are someone who rarely let their guard down and cries. Especially, for a child belonging to a middle-class family, it is a once-in-a-blue-moon, when you find your father crying. If it happens, there has to be something moving or heartbreaking.

A recent video which is enough to make you emotional, a father is shedding tears while dropping his daughter to her new college, Miranda House College, Delhi University.

The video, shared by a girl named Preksha, has garnered more than 3.5 million views within a few days and is being widely shared.

The video was even shared on Instagram by Vikram Vedha actor Rohit Saraf, who while congratulating Preksha wrote that this video was a reminder of what dreams are made of.

Captioning the video, the girl shared the moment with her social media friends and wrote that her parents were dropping her off at ‘their’ dream destination Miranda House College, Delhi University. It was the girl’s first day, so they were just exploring the campus and suddenly she noticed tears rolling down her father’s eyes.

She added that her father was so overwhelmed with happiness and was on another level of emotions. “The fact that his jigar ka tukda will be living far away from him was a bitter truth too. But those tears told me that all the sacrifices I made, all the hard work I did, each and everything I did to achieve this dream was all worth it in the end. All I can say is I can do anything to see your smiley faces and sparkling eyes.! Thank you mumma papa!! I love you,” the wholesome caption reads.

The comment section of the video was filled with heartfelt responses and to the girl’s surprise, the official account of Netflix India too left a comment on the video. The perfectly match soundtrack for such a beautiful moment. Big hugs to everyone on this journey, the comment read.

Actor Ayush Mehra, who is known for his roles in web series, also commented on the video, saying the emotions were so pure. “Big hugs to all three of you,” Mehra wrote.
