A man has been seen hitting and stabbing another man on a road in yet another terrifying incident that has been reported from Delhi’s Nand Nagri PS area late on Thursday night.

The video of the incident has gone viral on the internet. A CCTV camera was present at the place of occurrence and recorded the entire incident.

The 22-year-old boys are identified as Kasim, the victim, and Sohaib, the attacker. However, police have taken Sohaib into custody.

Kasim first got hit by Sohaib before he noticed stabbing him with a knife as he lay on the road. Then, using the knife, the attacker stabbed the victim’s left elbow severely, causing a strange bend. Surprisingly, the witnesses did not try to help the victim or stop the attacker as he walked away.

Kasim’s mother was horrified after seeing her son in near to death situation. She rushed over to Kasim and took him in her arms. In the video, she can be heard screaming that her son has been stabbed repeatedly. The incident happened at about 10:30 p.m.

After that Kasim was taken to Guru Teg Bahadur Hospital (GTB) in Shahdara, Delhi. Later, he was sent to the Safdarjung Enclave Trauma Centre at the All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS), Delhi. He is receiving treatment and has not given the police a statement due to the serious injuries.

The accused and victim both lived in the same area and were known to each other. However, it is still unclear what has led to the conflict. Police has begun the investigation after the FIR was filed.

The case is similar to the 16-year-old Sakshi murder case in Delhi a week ago, a 20-year-old man Sahil made a gruesome attack on a girl called Sakshi, whom he stabbed more than 20 times and bludgeoned to death with a cement slab.

The next day, Sahil who had escaped the incident was arrested in Uttar Pradesh’s Bulandshahar.

A 35-year-old man was allegedly stabbed to death by a 19-year-old teenager following an argument over a bottle of liquor in Shahdara area of national capital Delhi, officials said on Monday.

According to the police, the victim, Rahul (35) was stabbed multiple times by the accused, identified as Karan (19) after an argument over a liquor bottle.

Giving details, a senior police official said that on the night of May 6 in Vishwas Nagar, the accused had tried to snatch a liquor bottle from a man named Suraj, resulting in a scuffle between the two. Soon, Suraj’s brother Rahul joined in the fight and the two brothers slapped the teenager several times.

The official said that later that night, the accused, Karan, eager to get his revenge for the beating, lay in wait and intercepted Rahul when he was returning home, and stabbed him multiple times with a sharp-edged weapon.

The victim was rushed to a hospital where he succumbed due to blood loss and punctured organs, the official said.

Deputy Commissioner of Police (Shahdara) Rohit Meena said the accused had fled to Gujarat’s Surat after the incident but the cops were able to track him after he called his father from an unknown known and revealed his plans to flee to Mumbai.

However, before he could jump cities again, a team of Delhi Police, accompanied by the Surat Police Crime Branch, managed to nab him on Saturday from a factory yard in Surat where he was working.

The senior officer said that Karan had dropped out of school after the COVID-19 lockdown and wasn’t on good terms with his family as he had become addicted to alcohol and used to drink daily.

The DCP said that a case of murder under section 302 of the Indian Penal Code (IPC), has been registered against the accused, adding that further investigation is underway.

An 18-year-old teen was allegedly stabbed to death by a 31-year-old taxi driver following a scuffle between the two in southeast Delhi’s Sarai Kale Khan, officials said on Tuesday, adding that the accused has been arrested.

According to the police, the cops received information about the incident that took place near the Sarai Kale Khan bus stand on Thursday, and a team was sent to the spot where they found out that there was a scuffle between some locals who lived in the nearby rain basera and a taxi driver.

A senior police official said that the victim, identified as 18-year-old Akash, along with three minors, were on their way home from Gurudwara Bangla Sahib on Thursday when one of the kids accidentally touched an unknown pedestrian, who started shouting and abusing the child.

Giving details, the official said the accused taxi driver, who was passing by, intervened in the quarrel and hit Akash with a wooden stick which he had allegedly taken out from the trunk of the car, following which the victim fell.

Later, Akash’s sister learned about the incident and sent her brothers Vikas and Gaurav to the spot, who along with Akash and his three friends, engaged in another fight with the taxi driver during which the victim was stabbed by the accused.

He said the accused fled the scene afetr the incident and even left his taxi behind. Akash was rushed to the AIIMS Trauma Centre where doctors declared him brought dead.

Following the incident, a case was registered based on the complaint by the deceased boy’s sister, Mona, police said, adding that during investigation,  the taxi’s owner, Ashwani Sharma, a resident of Uttar Pradesh’s Baghpat district, was contacted.

Sharma told the police that he had rented his taxi to the accused, identified as Rupesh Kumar, a resident of Khoda Colony, Pragati Vihar.

The police then raided several known hangouts of the accused and arrested him.

As the video moves further, it shows the first man initially stabbed the victim’s leg while the second accused in the white jacket was seen hitting the victim on the stomach with a sharp object repeatedly.

The video also showed many people witnessing the horrific murder while casually walking through the lane. No one even tried to interrupt the fight or tried to save the life of the victim.

While revealing the identity of both the accused, police said that Kohinoor and Vicky had been involved in many criminal cases and police were tracking them for the past few days. Police also said that among both of them, there is another accused who is minor and had been involved in crime. A special team started a search in order to arrest him.

Meanwhile, this is not the first time such an incident hit the headlines. Earlier, a similar incident has been reported from Delhi where a man killed a lady by stabbing her with a knife in her chest.

In a chilling incident, a man was stabbed to death in Delhi’s Budh Bazar on Sunday. The incident happened at around 3:30 pm when he was travelling with his friend on a motorcycle. The man who was stabbed was identified as Faraz. He hailed from Delhi’s Sangam Vihar.

According to the police, Faraz was with his friend Rohit who was riding a motorcycle. When they reached Budh Bazar, four to five boys came on a bike from the opposite direction and stopped it in front of their bike. The two of them were identified as Ajay and Ankit.

The police said Rohit was driving the motorcycle and when he stopped, Ankit asked Faraz ‘Uss din tune motorcycle kyu nhi roki thi’? (Why didn’t you stop the motorcycle that day? Following this, Faraz got down from the motorcycle and started talking with them, said police.

The police said one of the boys then put a dagger on Faraz’s back. When Faraz tried to escape, he was caught by Ajay and Ankit shot him. Following the incident, he was immediately rushed to AIIMS Delhi where he succumbed to injuries during treatment.

A case has been registered against Rohit under sections 302/34 of the Indian Penal Code (IPC) at PS Neb Sarai. The police have set up teams to arrest the culprits.

The investigation is underway.

A similar incident took place in August when a 25-year-old man, identified as Mayank, was stabbed to death by some people after an argument in South Delhi’s Malviya Nagar area.

Vikas Panwar, Mayank’s friend, told police that they both were sitting at Qila, Begumpur in Malviya Nagar, when 4-5 men picked up an argument with Mayank. After the argument, they went away, but soon returned and pelted both friends with stones and stabbed Mayank several times.

Tensions are prevailing in Rajasthan’s Bhilwara area, amid this, internet services have been suspended till 6 am on Thursday. The situation got intense as a 22-year-old man was stabbed to death in the Kotwali police station area of Bhilwara on Tuesday night, said police.

According to reports, the area is now under heavy police deployment. It is reported that the young man was stabbed to death allegedly when he went to resolve a dispute in which his younger brother was involved.

After this, the right-wing group called for a bandh due to the case of the murder. The Rajasthan Police is currently on alert after communal trouble took place in Karauli, Alwar, and Jodhpur, in the recent past.

The police also registered an FIR in connection with the incident. Currently, the internet services in Bhilwara will remain suspended.

District collector Ashish Modi told the media personnel that officers have been the rounds of the city since last night, given the sensitivity of the situation, and the internet has been suspended as a precaution.

Ashish Modi further said that the administration is talking to community leaders to keep the dialogue open and foster understanding so that this incident does not acquire communal overtones.

Earlier, in Karauli, violence erupted after the stone-pelting incident took place at a religious procession in April. There were also tensions in Jodhpur before Eid and at that time also mobile internet services were suspended and a curfew was imposed in 10 police station areas of the city.
