There is an upsurge of Covid-19 cases and new variant of Covid-19, omicron nationally. Delhi has reported the second highest positivty rate of Omicron after Maharashtra. Keeping in view the situation of Omicron and Covid-19 cases in Delhi, Delhi government had imposed the weekend lockdown in Delhi. It will be implemented from this week.

Here, we are dropping down the list of people who are exempted from the weekend lockdown along with issue of valid identity card or curfew pass.

Officers and Officials from Government of India

All the officers and officials who are working with Government of India are allowed to travel in weekend curfew in Delhi. This includes people working with Government of India’s autonomous bodies, subordinate offices and Public Sector Units (PSUs). They have to carry a valid identity card with them.

Media Professionals

All the media professionals working in print or electronic media are exempted. They have to carry a valid identity card with them.

People going for Covid-19 test

People who are going for their RT-PCR test are exempted from this weekend curfew. They should carry a valid identity card with them while going for test.

Judges and Judicial officers

Judicial officials and judges are also exempted from this weekend curfew in Delhi. It also includes the staff members, advocates, legal counsels and a person which is connected with case hearing. They all have to carry a valid ID card, photo entry passes and permission issued by the court administration.

Medical Professionals

All the medical professionals such as doctors, nurses, paramedical staff members are exempted from this weekend curfew in Delhi. Aslo, people working in various hospital services such as testing laboratories, diagnostic centres, clinic, pharmacies, pharmaceutical companies, medical oxygen suppliers and other medical and health services are exempted. They all have to carry a valid identity card with them while travelling.

Officers and officials in Diplomats and people with Constitutional post

The people who are working in offices of diplomats of various are also allowed to travel. Not only them, but people holding Constitutional post are also exempted. They all have to carry valid identity card or curfew pass.

Officers and Officials involved in emergency services

All the officials who are involved in the emergency services are allowed to travel in weekend curfew in Delhi along with valid identity card.

Pregnant women and patients

Pregnant women and patients who are availing medical and health services with attendant are also allowed to travel in weekend curfew. They should carry doctor’s prescription along with valid identity card.

Students appearing for the examination

Student who are going to appearing for examination are also allowed to travel in weekend curfew in Delhi. They have carry admit card with them while travelling. Teachers who are going for the examination duty in centre are also exempted. They also have to carry a valid identity card or letter from the examination duty order.
