Fitness icon Milind Soman will be celebrating his 56th birthday, as the model/actor, turns a year older on November 4. With each passing day, Soman gives proof that age is just a number for him. He is the man who ages like a fine wine and inspiration for all the fitness freaks across the world. From sharing fitness posts to pictures with his wife Ankita Konwar, he keeps updating his fans about his daily life.

Milind is a popular supermodel but many people do not know that he was rejected for his first stint in modelling. In an old interview, Jeena Isi Ka Naam hai, Milind talked about his modelling career.

In the interview, he said that he decided to do scuba diving in America but before he left, his friend Bijoy Jain came up to him and said that he has a meeting as a model but he couldn’t go, and he asked Milind to go. To which, Milind said yes. Then he went for the meeting and the people he met told him that he is too young to wear a suit and he got rejected at that time.

Milind further said that he came back home as at that time he didn’t know much about modelling. He also said that after a month, Rasna Behal called him and said do you want to model for a campaign in which you just have to change shirts and your pictures will be taken in that.

Well, this surely has been quite a journey for Milind and he has proved that some unexpected things can surely change one’s life.

Meanwhile, on the work front, Milind was last seen in the Amazon Prime series Four MoreShots Please. In the show, he played the role of a gynaecologist and was much appreciated for that.

Indian model and actor Milind Sonam is one of the fittest celebrities in the industry. He is popular for encouraging people to have a healthy and sustainable lifestyle. The actor keeps treating his fans with his regular workout videos.

In this episode, Milind recently underwent a CT scan as a part of his regular health check-up. He dropped a picture on his Instagram handle and urged his fans to get regular screenings. He wrote, “Regular screenings as recommended by qualified doctors are important, but what you do between screenings is even more important! Regular good habits with food, exercise, sleep and stress management can help ensure that every screening shows normal body function, whatever your age.”

The post didn’t go well with his fans and other social media users. Miling got brutally trolled for encouraging people to go for regular CT scans. One user wrote, “Regular CT screening is not important rather dangerous, there are other kinds of tests which have specificity. CT and MRI are to be taken only when suggested by the physician.”

Another user wrote, “Unnecessary CTs are a great danger. Please do not propagate these things. The radiation received from CT scans is very very hazardous. Unless an emergency please do not do scans.”

“A CT scan is not part of regular checkups. It’s an expensive procedure with its own side effects depending on which area is being scanned”, wrote the third user.

Recently, Milind and his wife Ankita took part in the Unity Run where they ram 400 Kms from Shivaji Park in Mumbai to the Statue of Unity in Gujarat. He shared a picture with Ankita on Instagram and wrote, “Thank you @ankita_earthy for being you and you have become such a good runner!!!!! More power!! I love you.”

The fitness enthusiast couple keeps giving glimpses of their healthy lifestyle to their fans on social media. In an old interview with India Today, Milind had revealed the secret behind his fitness at 50. He said that if anyone starts exercising at 50, they will surely manage to get fit till 55. People should adopt healthy habits and prioritise their lives. He had also said that an individual can achieve any level of fitness over a period of time.

Bollywood celebrities like Bhumi Pednkekar, Milind Soman, and others mistakenly congratulated Indian wrestler Priya Malik, who won a gold medal at the ongoing World Cadet Wrestling Championship, for Olympics Games victory which is underway in Tokyo Japan. 

Taking to her Instagram story, Pednekar shared Malik’s photo and wrote, Baby Gold Gold Gold Gold Priya Malik with the hashtags Tokyo Olympics. However, after realizing her mistake, she later deleted the post.

Similarly, model-actor Milind Soman tweeted, Thank you, Priya Malik. Won gold in Tokyo Olympics.’ Later, the actor was trolled for his erroneous congratulations. While one user wrote, “Have not won in Olympics, don’t expect this from you,” another wrote, “It is won in the wrestling championship, not the Olympics.’ 

On the other hand TV actor Vatsal Seth also made the same mistake. He tweeted Congratulations Priya Malik, won the gold medal. Later, he corrected and wrote, “ Not in the Olympics but we are still proud of you.”

Wrestler Malik has recently clinched the gold in the women’s 73 kg weight category by getting the better of Belarus wrestler Kseniya Patapovich 5-0 in the final at the world event in Hungary. Her victory comes a day after the champion weightlifter Mirabai Chanu had clinched silver in the Women’s 49kg category in Tokyo Olympics.

However, Bollywood actors Kareena Kapoor Khan, Sara Ali Khan were among who rightly congratulated Priya for her gold medal at the World Championships.

Model-actor Milind Soman, who has turned 55 today, is facing flak on the internet for sharing a nude picture of himself running on the beach. The fitness enthusiast is making a bold statement in the picture clicked by his wife Ankita Konwar as he sprints along the water showing off his body. The picture is going viral on social media. While some got fitness goals by the picture, others were of the opinion that it was unnecessary and showed public indecency.

The picture also started a meme fest on the microblogging platform with people posting their hilarious take on the latest picture of Soman. Some people also compared his picture to the 1995 advertisement in which he had posed nude for a shoe brand along with Madhu Sapre.

Soman’s passion for running can be contributed to his fitness. In 2015, the actor successfully completed the toughest triathlon ever. In 2016, he ran a 570-km long stretch from Ahmedabad to Mumbai via Silvassa barefoot. Revealing the secret behind his fitness, Soman said he loves running amidst nature. Apart from running, the actor also loves cycling, which is again great for fitness. In an interview, the actor adviced people to cycle to work to get their daily dose of exercise without compromising with the time.
