As the state elections in Telangana come closer, Congress leader Rahul Gandhi interacted with auto drivers, gig workers and sanitary workers at Mahmood Paradise function hall in Jubilee hills Assembly constituency of Hyderabad on Tuesday. In a video Rahul Gandhi can be seen taking a ride in an autorickshaw. The video has gone viral in social media.

Before taking the autorickshaw ride Rahul Gandhi wore an auto driver uniform before sitting with the auto drivers and taking a selfie with them. Earlier Congress leader spoke to sanitary and gig workers in Hyderabad on Tuesday. He said if the Congress party comes to power in Telangana, it will bring in legislation for the welfare of Gig workers on the lines of a law recently passed in Rajasthan.

Gandhi told the gig workers that if the Congress party comes to power, the chief minister and the minster concerned will hold a meeting with them and will decide their welfare measures for them. He was accompanied by state Congress working president and former Indian cricket captain Mohammed Azharuddin, who is the party candidate from Jubilee Hills.

Gandhi told the gig workers that under the law brought by the Congress government in Rajasthan for every order the Company deposits some money for social security measures like pension and insurance. He said if somebody works for Swiggy and later moves to another company, then his savings get transferred and it keeps on growing.

The Congress leader said a welfare board can be set up for gig workers so that their issues can be addressed at the earliest. The gig workers told Gandhi about the problems they face everyday. They said their earning have decreased while the expenditure is increasing due to the rise in petrol prices. The workers added the delivery charges are very less and the Companies are not giving them vehicles or expenses for petrol.

IPL 2022: Disappointed by Mumbai Indian’s performance this season, former Indian captain Mohammad Azharuddin suggests that Mumbai Indians should add Arjun Tendulkar in their playing 11. He believes that the ‘Tendulkar’ name could perhaps bring luck to MI. Rohit Sharma’s team started off the campaign with no wins in five matches and are placed at bottom of the table.

Mumbai Indians is currently facing KL Rahul’s Lucknow Super Giants in their sixth league match of the season, and doesn’t seem to win this one either. Hence, the former cricketer Mohammad Azharuddin has a suggestion for MI team management because of their deficiency in all three departments.

Azharuddin reckoned that the team can provide an opportunity to Arjun Tendulkar. The boy has been doing well in regional games. Moreover, the franchise has also been picking him in every auction as well. He further questioned the team management that if they have shelled out a big amount for Tim David, then why he’s not in the playing 11 again.

He further said, “You have to try some new players, for example you can give chance to Arjun as well. Maybe Tendulkar name on the field can bring MI some good luck. Picking Tim David for such a high amount but there’s no use of him being in the squad. Having players, you just can’t make them sit along. That’s injustice to the player and the team composition as well.

Mohammad Azharuddin further went on to say that MI’s star bowler Jasprit Bumrah needs to bowl an opening over for Mumbai Indians to have a greater chance of picking early wickets in the powerplay overs. Mumbai Indians is currently playing their sixth match of the tournament. Their next match is against Ravindra Jadeja’s Chennai Super Kings on April 21 in DY Patil Stadium.
