Pakistani actor Fawad Khan has finally marked his MCU debut with Ms Marvel episode 5. The Humsafar actor is the third Asian actor to star in the series after Bollywood star Farhan Akhtar and of course the lead, Iman Vellani.

Ever since the first episode of Ms Marvel premiered on our TV screens, it has become one of the most-talked-about Marvel shows, especially for featuring the first South Asian female superhero with Iman Vellani’s Kamala Khan. Where the show is being hailed for its casting, the penultimate episode are also introducing new character like Fawad Khan.

And as soon as tweeple spotted Fawad in Ms Marvel episode 5, they set internet on fire. While some said that he had more screen space than Farhan Akhtar, some believes he still hasn’t aged after Zindagi Gulzar Hai. Rest of the reactions are given below:

While we saw Bollywood actor Farhan Akhtar playing Waleed in the last episode, the latest episode introduced Fawad Khan as a character from the partition era of India. The name of his character is Hasan, who is introduced as Kamala’s great-grandfather.

The pre-Independence era in Ms Marvel, shows Hasan, a freedom fighter meets Aisha (Mehwish Hayat). However, after they have a family, they are forced to consider moving to Pakistan, along with their daughter Sana. The intriguing episode also showcases how Hasan (Fawad Khan) managed to get on the last train to Pakistan only with his daughter Sana.

However, the Pakistani actor had a short role in the series, but still fans are going gaga over it. MCU introducing him in the latest episode will surely help Fawad in expanding his fan following.

The actor gained a huge fan base in India after his Pakistani limited series Zindagi Gulzar hai and Humsafar was broadcasted on ‘Zindagi’ channel introduced in India to strength the India-Pakistan relationship in 2017.

After much anticipation from the audience to witness a Bollywood name make its way to any Marvel film or series’ credits, seems like finally the film enthusiasts in India might soon witness ace actor-director Farhan Akhtar getting featured in Marvel’s upcoming series, ‘Ms. Marvel’.

Reportedly, Farhan has been added to the cast of this series and is expected to appear in a cameo role marking his debut in Hollywood. However, rest of the details are currently under wraps. But an official statement has been released by the makers of Ms. Marvel, that the Bollywood actor Farhan Akhtar will be joining the cast of the forthcoming Disney+Hotstar series Ms. Marvel.

However, when it comes to cameos, Farhan is not the first actor to feature in a Marvel movie for a guest appearance. Veteran actor Harish Patel has been a part of Marvel movie ‘Eternals’. Indian fans were left stumped when they noticed Harish next to global star Kumail Nanjiani.

Ms. Marvel will be the sixth web series by Marvel Studios and will premiere on Disney+Hotstar. This series will introduce Iman Vellani, playing the character of Kamala Khan, aka Ms. Marvel. Kamala is a Muslim American teenager who resides in Jersey City. Her character can be described as an avid gamer and a voracious fan-fiction writer.

Kamala is a big-fan of superheroes and has several dreams for her life. However, she finds it hard to fit into school or even at her home for the matter. But her life will completely change when she gains some superpowers she had always dreamt of.

Ms. Marvel will also feature Saagar Shaikh, Aramis Knight, Zenobia Shroff, Azhar Usman, Rish Shah, Laith Nakli, Mohan Kapur, Nimra Bucha Yasmeen Fletcher and now Farhan Akhtar. The series is scheduled to premiere on June 8, 2022. Marvel Studios dropped the first teaser of Ms. Marvel on March 15, which was hugely praised by MCU actors Mark Ruffalo and Brie Larson.
