A shocking incident has been reported on Friday, where a 22-year-old Muslim vendor has been tortured brutally by the Uttar Pradesh police and two unidentified people over suspicion of smuggling cow meat. survivor’s mother said sub-inspector Satya Pal has inserted a stick inside her son’s rectum and gave him electric shocks several times.

When the incident came in limelight and the allegations of the accused cops found were true, an FIR has been lodged under sections 342 (wrongful confinement) and 323 (voluntarily causing hurt) of the IPC, along with others. Apart from this, Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) OP Singh ordered the CO of Dataganj, Prem Kumar Thapa to carry out an investigation into the matter.

Taking about the incident, Superintendent of Police (SP) Praveen Singh Chauhan said during the preliminary investigation, it has been found that the allegation against those cops was true. He said the police has already registered an FIR against the accused of torturing and treating the man’s brutality on the police station premises. The department has suspended them for doing wrong. An impartial investigation will be carried out in this case and further strict action also will be taken.

The doctors who are treating the victim said, the patient is having seizures continuously, which indicated that his nervous system is badly affected by the shocks

The victim’s sister-in-law revealed that the police has beaten him and tortured him brutally the whole night. When cops realized that they picked the wrong person, they give Rs him Rs 100 and asked him to return home, the man’s sister-in-law added.

Meanwhile, it has been reported that the victim, who was working as a part-time vegetable vendor in the district for his family’s livelihood is in serious condition. Doctors said the upcoming hours might be critical for him.
