A father-in-law raped his 28 year old daughter-in-law in Muzzafarnagar Uttar Pradesh. The village Panchayat later took a decision that her husband has become her son now. The police said on July 5 a 23-year-old-woman who was seven months pregnant was alone at home. The woman’s father in law raped her and threatened to kill her if she reported the matter to the police.

In her police complaint, the woman shared when she informed her husband about the rape, he told her she could not live with him since the father in law was now in a relationship with her. She said her husband beat her badly and threw her out of the house. She said she did not inform anybody about the incident since she wanted to preserve her honour.

She said her husband refused to take her back into the house even though she did not have any fault. The Station House officer while speaking to the media said a case under IPC sections 606 (punishment of criminal intimidation) and 376 (rape) was registered against the father in law. The husband was booked under 323 (punishment for voluntarily causing hurt). The victim’s identity has not been revealed as per directives of the Supreme court on cases related to rape and sexual assault.

In a similar incident police have registered an FIR in connection to case of sexual assault and rape against four generations of a family. This included the accused’s 90 year old grandfather and a great grandfather who died 20 years ago in Bulandshahr. The complaint was filed by the 19 years old rape survivor’s father. According to the complaint a 23 year old man raped the woman for nearly two years promising her that he would marry her later. The girl’s father said when the girl put pressure on him to get married, the man took his daughter to a nearby farm and raped her.

A video has emerged on the internet where an elderly man can be seen paying for his son’s sin. According to reports the elderly man was being beaten up by the relatives of the girl who had planned to get married to the elderly man’s son. The incident comes under the jurisdiction of Civil lines.

According to reports, the man was beaten and brutally assaulted inside a court premise.

In the video, a group of people can be seen holding the elderly man as they hold his scarf and continuously slap him. A woman can also be seen trying to stop the people from assaulting him, however, the other man relentlessly continued his assault.

The video also shows people gathering and rushing in to restrain the girl’s relatives from hurting and assaulting the man.

After the video went viral, the Muzaffarnagar Police came forward to write that a case has been registered in the matter in Civil Line Police Station. The police further added that necessary actions are being taken in the matter as well.

After the video went viral, various users came forward to add their take on the incident. A user wrote and said that this is Yogi Aditiyanath’s Ram Raj taking a jibe on CM Yogi’s vision of UP.

Another user added to the conversation and said that this is wrong and sought legal actions against the people assaulting the elderly man. One more user said this what happens in Ram Rajya, again taking a jibe at the UP Government.

Another incident

Another incident was recently reported in Uttar Pradesh’s Chitrakoot where a man beat up his sister over a dispute of land. The video of the incident was recorded by the woman’s son who was also heard pleading to his uncle to stop assaulting his mother.

A video has come to light from Uttar Pradesh’s Muzaffarpur where an E-rickshaw can be seen selling and announcing the sale of alcohol as they drive around the village. The person making the video stops the E-rickshaw and asks what they are selling to which the driver replies alcohol.

In the video, an E-rickshaw selling alcohol can be seen with a loudspeaker attached to it, which is advertising the alcohol the rickshaw is selling. The cameraman can be seen stopping the rickshaw and asking them what they are selling and the rickshaw-borne men can be heard answering back by saying alcohol.

The rickshaw also is covered by banners which are talking about the benefits of consuming alcohol which stated that after drinking alcohol, one can easily drive any vehicle, speak English fluently, and even have the courage of speaking to one’s wife without any fright.

One of the banners on the E-Rikshaw shows that if one should consume alcohol when they are happy and even when they are sad.

After the video surfaced on the internet, many users rushed in to add their amusing takes on the video as one user came forward and wrote and praised the type of advertisement done on the E-rickshaw, implying the creativity used to make the banners and the posters that show benefits of consuming alcohol.

Another user added to the conversation and wrote that this is an amazing start-up, implying that the business plan by the people is really new and can be very lucrative. Another user also added to the conversation and trenchantly attacked the ruling party for having such incidents.

The user sarcastically called it the ideal state the UP CM talked about questioned by putting the video as a proof that thing seem far from better.

Sandip Sharma, a resident of Muzzafarnagar, Uttar Pradesh was arrested by Jammu and Kashmir police on Monday for his alleged involvement in bank robberies and killing of six security personnel in the valley.

“He (Sandeep) was a criminal, he got in touch with Lashkar through one Shakoor of Sopore…The militants of Lashkar took help of Sandeep to loot ATMs, and they also indulged in immoral activities in the villages,” Jammu and Kashmir IGP, Munir Khan told reporters.

“Sandeep ​son of Ram Sharma from UP incidentally was in the same house where dreaded Lashkar militant, Bashir Lashkar was residing.To the locals he(Sandeep) used the name Adil. He lived with two identities,” Khan said.

Calling Lashkar a hub of criminals, Khan claimed that the Laskar-e-Taiba is recruiting non-local criminals to carry out terrorist activities in the valley.

Sharma was involved in ATM robberies, ferrying of militants from one place to other for attacks and actively participated in the operations himself.

Sharma was apprehended from the same house where slain LeT commander Bashir Lashkari took shelter. He was among the several civilians including the family members, who were shifted out from the house, before the encounter started. Police got suspicious after he was unable to justify his unusual presence in a Kashmiri house. Police claim he broke down during further investigation.

His associate Muneeb Shah of Kulgam has also been arrested.

Lashkari was killed in an encounter in J&K’s Anantnag district on July 1. Lashkar along with a few associates had killed an SHO and five other policemen in Achabal area of South Kashmir on June 16. Police alleges that Sharma was one of the associate in this attack.
