A bizarre story has come to light from Mumbai’s Thane where a man abducted two men from a train under suspicion of stealing his wife’s purse. It was reported that the man had kept the two men confined in his house for 2 days.

The man while keeping them in his house also asked for a ransom of Rs 50,000 from the two victim’s relatives. According to reports the man had kept the men in his house in Bhiwandi.

After learning about the abduction, the family of the two victims approached the Nagpada police, after which the police filed a case and promptly started the probe. According to reports, the culprit identified as Azhar Shaikh works as a powerloom worker in Bhiwandi.

Reports suggest that the 27-year-old culprit hailed from Bihar and used to work in Mumbai.

Reports suggest that Azhar Shaikh had been travelling by Pawan Express with his wife from Bihar to Kalyan in Mumbai. However, while travelling, his wife’s purse was stolen while they were enroute to Mumbai. The purse had various important documents of his wife as well, said reports.

Police’s action

After learning about the incident, the Nagpada police took prompt actions and launched an investigation in the case. The two victims were identified as Sajid Ansari and Sajjad and were traced and safely rescued from the culprit’s residence. The police were also able to nab down Azhar Shaikh and arrest him.

Another incident

Another incident came to light from Mumbai local train where a couple got into an altercation with a co-passenger who had questioned them about stretching out their legs on the seat. The video of the incident went viral and enraged many users on the way the couple behaved after being questioned about their actions.

In the video, a man can be seen questioning the two co-passenger who were sitting opposite to him, one of whom had her legs stretched out and kept on the seat. After witnessing the unruly behaviour of the woman, the man went on to question if this was the right way to sit in a Mumbai local, to which the couple could be heard saying that it indeed was the right way to sit.

The two couples, in a bid to intimidate the co-passenger, told him that they both were lawyers so they don’t need to learn about laws from others.
