Television actor Nakuul Mehta will turn a year older on January 18. From appearing in Bollywood films to working in TV’s popular daily soaps, Nakuul has surely carved a niche for himself.

He made his TV debut with the Star Plus show Pyaar Ka Dard Hai Meetha Meetha Pyaara Pyaara. His character as Aditya Kumar opposite Disha Parmar was loved by the audience widely and gained him a massive fan following on social media.

Nakuul went on to star as Shivaay Singh Oberoi in daily soap Ishqbaaaz co-starring Surbhi Chandna. His promising acting in the TV serial received him rave reviews and his character also helped him bag Gold Awards for the Best Onscreen Jodi with Chandna. He also bagged the Indian Telly Awards for the Best Actor in the lead role for his role as Shivaay.

Apart from TV, Nakuul has also appeared in Bollywood films including Haal-e-Dil in 2008 and Indian Beauty in 2006. His appearance in web series like I Don’t Watch TV, Never Kiss Your Best Friend, BAE Control, and Zindagi, in Short, received immense praises from the audience.

Actor Nakuul Mehta and singer Jankee Parekh’s son, Sufi, tested positive for Covid-19 recently. Followed by his reports, Jankee shared a heartfelt note on her Instagram handle on January 3, 2022. In the note, she said that her son is being resillient in tough times.

The note revealed that Sufi started showing symptoms about two weeks back. Around the same time, the couple also tested positive for Covid-19. The couple tried everything from water sponges to medications to bring his fever down. Despite their efforts, Sufi’s fever crossed 104.2 and he had to be rushed to the Covid ICU. The little boy, who turned 11 months old on January 3, 2022, was taken to the hospital in an ambulance, and was given fluids and medications through IVS thrice. Apart from this, he also gave a number of blood tests, took RT-PCTR multiple times, took bottles of saline, antibiotics and injections. As the note continued, Jankee added that Sufi’s fever broke down after staying in the hospital for three days.

Jankee also thanked Sufi’s nanny, his pediatrician, his doctor and the entire staff of SRCC Children’s hospital for treating her son back to health.

In her note, Jankee also mentioned that even though Omicron is milder on adults, it can still affect the babies much gravely as they can neither wear masks, nor get vaccinated. Her note ended with a thank you to her superhero, Sufi, for being inspirational and resilient through tough times.

Actors Abhijeet Sawant, Additi Gupta and Anita Hassandani, among others also showered their love and best wishes in Jankee’s comment section.

The Ishqbaaaz actor got married to singer Jankee Parekh on January 28, 2021. The couple gave birth to Sufi on February 3, 2021. Just after a few months, Sufi went under surgery for bilateral inguinal hernia.

Television actor Nakuul Mehta and Jankee Parekh have dropped the first glimpse of their baby boy Sufi on social media. Earlier, the couple shared few videos with Sufi but did not unveil his face. On September 3, they treated their fans with Sufi’s video and trust me he is a carbon copy of his father.

On the occasion of Sufi turning 7 months old, Nakuul and Janhvi released a reel video on Instagram. The reel audio has the song I Get To Love You. They wrote, “Hi, I am Sufi and I am 7 months old today. It’s so nice to finally meet you P.S. Letting my folks share this on my behalf ‘cause I got cool things to do! @babysufim.”

The blue-eyed kid stole the hearts of lakhs of social media users and the comment section flooded with expressions like cuteness, adorable, and so on. A section of social media also compared Sufi with Kareena Kapoor Khan and Saif Ali Khan’s son Taimur.

Earlier, Nakuul and Jahnvi had announced the name of their baby boy with an adorable post. It read, “Sufi’ A name that we decided when I was 3 months pregnant for our to-be firstborn, irrespective of the gender. Sufi symbolises spirituality, art, philosophy, literature, soul, song and everything that we stand for From the time you were born, you have filled up our lives and hearts with so much love & we just can’t get enough of you. Mamma & Dadaa love you.”

Nakuul is a royal lineage and descends from King Prithviraj Chauhan of Rajput Chauhan dynasty of Mewar. He had proposed to his girlfriend Jankee and the couple got married in 2012. Jankee is Nakuul’s first love and fell head over heels after he saw Jankee for the first time. Jankee is a singer by profession.
