Pakistan’s embattled Prime Minister Imran Khan will address the nation tonight after the 69-year-old leader had cancelled his speech on Wednesday. As he faces an Opposition no-confidence motion, moved by Leader of the Opposition Shahbaz Sharif, Khan is set to address the nation tonight

His address comes amid allegations that a foreign conspiracy was afoot to remove him from power. These allegations are based on a foreign conspiracy letter, which the PM shared with senior journalists and cabinet members on Wednesday.

However, the United States has denied its involvement in the conspiracy letter, which purportedly threatened to oust Pak PM Imran Khan.

The Pakistan National Assembly session which was scheduled to debate on the no-confidence motion against Prime Minister Imran Khan, was adjourned till 11.30 am on Sunday, Dawn reported.

Pakistan’s National Assembly session has adjourned till Sunday after opposition leaders demanded an immediate vote on a no-confidence motion against embattled Prime Minister Imran Khan who has effectively lost a majority in the lower house.

As soon as the parliament began, Deputy Speaker Qasim Suri asked the leaders to discuss items listed on the agenda. However, the opposition leaders demanded an immediate vote on the no-confidence motion against Prime Minister Khan. Suri then adjourned the House till 11 am on Sunday, amid vociferous protest from opposition leaders.

The two key allies Muttahida Qaumi Movement-Pakistan (MQM-P) and Balochistan Awami Party (BAP) of Pakistan are trying hard to pull out of the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf-led coalition government in Pakistan.

However, the trouble continues to mount for Prime Minister Imran Khan, who has already lost the majority in the country’s 342-member National Assembly.

[vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text]British Prime Minister Theresa May’s Conservative Party MPs have triggered a vote of no-confidence in her leadership, plunging Britain’s planned exit from European Union – ‘Brexit’ – into chaos.

Media reports said the MPs felt they had lost faith in the PM to deliver the deal.

With less than four months left until the United Kingdom is due to exit on March 29, the world’s fifth largest economy was tipping towards crisis, opening up the prospect of a disorderly no-deal divorce or a reversal of Brexit through a referendum.

Sir Graham Brady, the chairman of the party’s so-called 1922 committee, who received at least 48 letters from Conservative MPs calling for a vote of no confidence in May, said the threshold of 15 percent of the parliamentary Conservative Party seeking a confidence vote had been reached.

“The threshold of 15 percent of the parliamentary party seeking a vote of confidence in the leader of the Conservative Party has been exceeded,” Brady said.

A ballot will be held between 6 pm and 8 pm on Wednesday in a room at the House of Commons.

“The votes will be counted immediately afterwards and an announcement will be made a soon as possible in the evening,” Brady said.

The announcement could come by 10 pm.

Brexit is Britain’s most significant political and economic decision since World War II though pro-Europeans fear it will divide the West as it grapples with the presidency of Donald Trump and growing assertiveness from Russia and China.

The ultimate outcome will shape Britain’s $2.8 trillion economy, have far reaching consequences for the unity of the United Kingdom and determine whether London can keep its place as one of the top two global financial centres.

Theresa could be toppled if 158 of her 315 lawmakers vote against her.[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][/vc_row]
