E-commerce giant, Amazon is testing a new payment feature called a buy-now-pay-later option, which will allow users to pay monthly installments with zero interest on an averages purchase of 50 dollars (roughly Rs 3600 in India)  from online shopping with Amazon.

The online shopping platform has partnered with the US-based start-up that allows users to convert their payments into monthly EMI without any interest charges or hidden fees. Currently, the feature is on test mode, only available in the United States.

The company is offering this feature to fewer customers who have a good C-bill score and often shop with Amazon. There are reports that the company might introduce its new payment option buy now pay later in other countries as well including India.

A Senior Vice President of Sales at Affirm, Eric Morse said by introducing new payment options to the customers by partnering with reputed brand Amazon,  Affirm wants to bring transparency, affordability and accessibility to the younger online shoppers that don’t have access to credit cards in the United States.

However, the shopping platform Amazon has not revealed who will be and what is the edibility criteria for the new payment options yet, and the company has also not shared that when the new payment options will be reaching out to customers across the world.
