The Odisha Public Service Commission (OPSC) has declared a number of applications for qualified and willing applicants. There is a total of 796 Assistant Section Officer positions in Group B of the Odisha Secretariat Service, which is part of the State Home Department.

The applicants shortlisted for the permanent positions would be paid Rs 35400 in Level 9 of Cell 1 of the ORSP Pay Matrix, as per Rule 3 of the ORSP Rules, 2017.

1. The vacancies for Unreserved are 447 (149 weaker sections).
2. The vacancies for Socially and Economically Backward Classes (SEBC) are 62 (21 weaker sections).
3. The vacancies for Scheduled Castes (SC) are 109 (36 weaker sections).
4. The vacancies for Scheduled Tribes (ST) are 178 (59 weaker sections)

What are the qualifications for OPSC Recruitment 2022

An applicant must have a Bachelor’s Degree from a recognized university and adequate computer application knowledge and skills.

Exam fees for OPSC Recruitment 2022

Candidates need to pay Rs 500 for the exam fee. A non-refundable fee of Rs 500 is mandatory for all applicants. Scheduled Tribes or Scheduled Castes (ST/SC) and people with significant impairments greater than 40 percent are excluded.

Selection Process For OPSC Recruitment 2022

The following is the schedule for the competitive test for ASO positions.

• The first thing will be a written test which will include objective-type questions.
• The skill test will be taken for qualifying the practical.
• Applicants who will pass the written exam will be invited for a computer skill test, in which they must get 40 percent of their total marks to qualify.

Moreover, the OPSC has chosen 33 zones throughout the state to hold the exams.
