An arrest warrant has been issued against Jaysukh Patel, the owner of Oreva Company, in the Morbi bridge collapse case that happened in Gujarat last year.

Along with this, the police have made Patel an accused in the charge sheet, although the charge sheet has not yet been submitted to the court. At the same time, after the issuance of the warrant, the police have also issued a lookout circular for Jaisukh Patel. After which it is believed that he will be arrested soon. Patel had filed a petition for anticipatory bail in the court two days back.

Notably, the hanging bridge built on the Machchu river in Morbi, Gujarat was collapsed. At the time of the accident, 300-400 people were present on the bridge and everyone fell into the river. However, some of these lives were saved. 135 people died in this accident. The shocking thing is that the bridge was opened only 5 days before the accident after 7 months of repair. Also, the fitness certificate was not taken before opening the bridge. The contract for the maintenance of this bridge was with Oreva Company only. After which a case was registered against the company and its owner.

In this case, continuous hearing is being done by the Gujarat High Court. In the last hearing, it was said to give proper compensation to the families of the victims. The court insisted that even Rs 50,000 as compensation for the injured at this stage is meager. The details of injuries, hospitalisation, details of treatment are not coming out in the interim report. The families of the victims in the Morbi accident have not yet received justice yet. Several committees were formed to investigate the accident. Allegations were also leveled against many people, after which the Gujarat High Court, taking suo moto cognizance of the matter, issued a notice to Jaysukh Patel, the owner of Oreva Company.
