On Friday, videos has come to light from Delhi where BJP leaders including Parvesh Verma and Tajinder Bagga had reached the Yamuna Ghat to assess the situation of Yamuna ahead of Chhath Puja. After reaching the Ghat, the BJP leaders got into a spat with the workers who look over the chemicals that are dumped into the Yamuna river. Parvesh Verma can be seen blasting the workers after which, the worker retorted and shut him down.

In the videos, BJP leader, Parvesh Verma, can be seen crassly asking the workers of Yamuna Ghat if they have just now noticed that the chemicals being thrown into the river are approved by the authorities. The leader can further be seen asking the worker to dive into the chemical to prove his point of the chemicals being dangerous despite the worker’s retort of the chemical being FDA-approved.

Following the incident, a commotion unraveled as many workers came out to support the worker who was being scrutinized by the BJP leader. One worker came forward and argued that he has been coming out to clean the River Yamuna along with his team regularly. The man can be seen saying that no one comes here to clean the river except for him and his team, despite Parvesh Verma proclaiming that his party workers come to clean the river.

Verma, despite being called out on his lie, continues to thread another lie as he says that the worker who works there daily doesn’t see the workers of the party working to clean the river Yamuna. The man can be seen rebutting his lies as he continues to tell him that it is the first time that Parvesh Verma and his party have come quashing his remark. The man then can be seen stating he doesn’t care about which party cleans the Yamuna River as long as it is clean.

The Delhi Government had promised to clean the Yamuna and had implemented plans into force back in 2021. However, the Delhi government failed to deliver on its promise as the white foam can be seen floating atop the Yamuna river ahead of Chhath Puja. The BJP party on Thursday launched an attack on the Delhi Government for the same.

Denying the BJP’s liquor mafia middleman allegations, Telangana Chief Minister K Chandrashekhar Rao’s daughter and MLC K Kavitha today said that it was completely baseless. She said that they have all agencies in their hands. They could do whatever investigation was required.

She said that they would cooperate in any investigation on this matter.

Reacting to the allegations, K Kavita said that she will file a defamation suit against Pravesh Verma and Majinder Sirsa for these false allegations. She would also move the court seeking an injunction order against those making the false allegations.

She accused that the BJP was rattled by the criticism from her father KCR. He has been very vocal and sharp in criticizing the policies of the Modi government, and thus they were trying to malign the reputation of her family.

BJP leader Pravesh Verma today accused that K Kavitha was the middleman between the liquor mafia and the Aam Aadmi Party government in the Delhi excise policy.

He accused that K Kavitha and his family members were present at the discussion on its creation in the Oberoi hotel Delhi.

He accused that Delhi’s Deputy Chief Minister Manish Sisodia met liquor mafia and KCR family. The deal was struck in the Oberoi hotel of Delhi where a suite was booked. A bribe of crores of rupees was given to Manish Sisodia to increase the commission from 2.5 per cent to 12 per cent under the new liquor policy and the first installment of the same was given to him. BJP further alleged Rs 150 crore was given to Manish Sisodia.

The Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) yesterday issued a lookout notice against Manish Sisodia and 12 others in the Delhi excise policy corruption case. They were also restricted from traveling abroad.

Denying the allegation of corruption in the excise policy, he said that the BJP was not worried about any excise fraud, it was worried about Arvind Kejriwal because they saw him as the main challenger to Prime Minister Modi in the upcoming general election.

The Election Commission today banned Anurag Thakur and BJP Lok Sabha MP Parvesh Verma from campaigning for Delhi elections for 72 and 96 hours respectively. The two BJP leaders were accused of making inflammatory remarks.

The Election Commission had also ordered the removal of Anurag Thakur and Parvesh Verma from BJP’s list of star campaigners for Delhi Assembly elections.

Minister of State for Finance and Corporate Affairs Anurag Thakur was seen encouraging people to raise the slogan ‘desh ke gaddaron ko’ in a video widely circulated on social media. Thakur was addressing the election meeting in support of BJP candidate from Rithala, Manish Chaudhary.

Whereas, Parvesh Rana, an MP from West Delhi, told in an interview to ANI , that “they (Shaheen Bagh protesters) will enter your houses, rape your sisters and daughters”.

“Lakhs of people gather there (Shaheen Bagh). People of Delhi will have to think and take a decision. They’ll enter your houses, rape your sisters and daughters, and kill them. There’s time today, Modi ji and Amit Shah won’t come to save you tomorrow…”, the BJP MP had said.

Hitting out at the Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal and his party Verma had also accused them of siding with the protesters at Shaheen Bagh.

“Arvind Kejriwal says he is with Shaheen Bagh and so does Manish Sisodia. The people know that a fire engulfed Kashmir in which their mothers and sisters were raped. This happened in Kerala, Uttar Pradesh, Hyderabad and is now happening in Delhi,” Verma added.

The Aam Aaadmi Party has also demanded a FIR be registered against Parvesh Verma.

Last week, the Election Commission had imposed a 48-hour campaigning ban on BJP leader, Kapil Mishra, for suggesting that the upcoming Delhi assembly elections would be like an “India vs Pakistan” match.

“Election Commission has ordered the removal of Sh. Anurag Thakur and Sh. Parvesh Sahib Singh from the list of star campaigners of Bhartiya Janta Party for the general elections to the Legislative Assembly of the NCT of Delhi with immediate effect and until further orders,” the statement issued by election commission read.
