Samajwadi Party chief Akhilesh Yadav on Tuesday launched their party perfume months before the next year’s assembly elections in Uttar Pradesh. Calling it Samajwadi Attar, the SP chief said the scent will have its magic in 2022 polls.

Launching its own brand of perfume, the Samajwadi Party said it aims to end hatred in 2022.

The perfume box comes with a picture of Akhilesh Yadav along with the party’s symbol. The party perfume has been launched in 22 fragrances. The party is also planning a second edition of the perfunme for the 2024 national election, with 24 natural ingredients.

The perfume bottle resembled the olive green and red colour of the Samajwadi Party flag. The manufacturer of the scent said the fragrance has ingredients from Kashmir to Kanyakumari to represent the country’s diversity.

As soon as the Samajwadi Party launched their perfumes, many social media users were amused with it while others took a jab at Akhilesh Yadav. There was almost a meme fest on Twitter right after the perfume launch and is still continuing.

The Uttar Pradesh assembly polls 2022 is likely to be fought between the ruling BJP under Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath and the Samajwadi Party. Mayawati’s Bahujan Samaj Party is also prepping a strong campaign.

Earlier, the Samajwadi Party included the Suheldev Bharatiya Samaj Party chief Om Prakash Rajbhar in the party.

The Samajwadi Party had kicked off its campaign in the state with a Vijay Rath Yatra from Kanpur on October 12.

The Yogi Adityanath ruled state will vote next year for election to its 403 assembly seats. In the last polls, the BJP won 306, bringing Yogi Adityanath to power. Besides the Congress, the Samajwadi Party and Mayawati’s Bahujan Samaj Party (BSP) are eyeing power in the crucial election.
