A police inspector was dismissed from service for allegedly assaulting a girl and taking her objectionable photographs in a police station in Assam’s Nalbari district, a top officer said.

After initially being placed in suspension on Thursday, the inspector who is currently absconding was dismissed from service later the same day. A 17 year old girl had filed a police complaint against the officer in charge of Ghograpar police station on Monday, alleging that she was molested and her objectionalble pictures were taken in the police station.

The girl and a man were taken into custody on June 21 in connection with a child marriage case. A case against the police officer has been registered with Nalbari police station under IPC sections related to wrongful confinement of a person with the intent to insult the modesty of a woman read with certain sections Prevention of children Sexual Offences Act, 2012 (POCSO) related to the use of children for pornographic purpose

The Nalbari Superintendent of Police had admitted that the police had violated the norms by keeping a girl in police station at night when she should have been sent to a state run home for night stay. Expressing his anguish over the incident, the DGP said Assam police will work to ensure that its glory remains intact and the dismissal of the inspector will serve as a warning to all officials to maintain the sanctity of police stations.

The DGP said the dismissal of the inspector should send a strong message to all serving police personnel about adherence to the law of the land and the idea of the chief minister to shape the force dedicated to the service of the people. Singh said anyone not following the duty to keep the citizens safe in police stations shall face similar consequences.

A video has come to light from Punjab’s Sri Muktsar Sahib where a man is being taken to the police station after he was caught stealing. The man, however, was being taken to the police station by being tied to the front grill of a truck.

In the video, a truck can be seen approaching with a man tied to its front grill while another holds him from falling off the truck. As the truck approaches, the cameraman inquires about what happened, to which the man holding him can be heard replying that he has stolen from him.

The cameraman can also be heard asking if they are taking him to the police station, to which the man confirmed and then the cameraman gave way to the truck. The guy also asked that what he stolen to which he replied that the perpetrator had stolen 2 gunny bags from him.

Police action

Sri Muktsar Sahib Police station’s Deputy Superintendent of Police had come forward and stated necessary actions have been initiated after 2 videos went viral in which a man was recorded stealing a sack of wheat whereas, in the other one, the man who was stealing, was seen being tied to a truck and being brought to the police station.

After the video went viral, many users came forward to add their take on the incident as one user wrote and stated that it is easier to condemn such incidents and added that but police themselves ask the people to take the people to bring the perpertrator to the police station.

Another user added to the conversation and drew parallels between the incident and the Deewar movie scene where Shashi Kapoor is shooting a bread thief.

As cyclone Mandous lashed out several areas of Andhra Pradesh which led to uprooted trees and also damaging houses, also took a toll on a police station located in Andhra Pradesh. A video emerged on the internet where a police station can be seen flooded with water as police police personnel in it.

In the video, a police station can be seen submerged in knee-deep water as the wooden furniture, as well as cupboards with important files can also be seen being affected by the flooding. A police personnel can also be seen standing in the middle of the flooded police station trying to navigate and tackle the flooding.

The video also shows some files kept atop of chairs to save them from being affected by the flooded water due to heavy rainfall.

Cyclone Mandous

Not only the police station but various other streets and houses fell victim to the flooding which was a result of cyclone Mandous. The cyclone had hit India on December 9 and was expected to cross Tamil Nadu, Puducherry and adjoining areas like South Andhra Pradesh.

The Chief Minister’s and other government officials also visited their respective constituencies to assess the situation and take necessary actions. Accounts of trees being uprooted and also falling on Vehicles came to light as the cyclone takes a toll on the residents and locals of the affected area.

Reports also surfaced which said that the cyclone for the Godavri paddy farmers faced a losses due to it. The cyclone also led to 4 fatalities due the cyclone in Chennai.

Another incident

Another incident from Andhra Pradesh’s Srisailam recently went viral where a labor worker turned a scooter into an electric pulley as he use the the Bajaj scooter to his advantage. The man had turned engine of the scooter to pull up a bag full of construction material.

A shocking video has been doing rounds on the internet where a eight years old boy can be seen crying in a police station of Bihar’s Sitamadhi. The boy reached the police station to file an complaint against his mother for not serving him food.

The video begins with the police official asking the kid about his misery. The child named Shivam seems hungry and was quick to respond to the questions. He says that his mother refused to cook food for him and when he questioned her mother over lunch she got violent and raised her hand on the eight-years-old.

The boy further informs that he studies in fourth standard and currently her maternal grand mother had come to pay him visit but her mother is still not serving food. Later the boy gets up to leave and the clip ends right there.

A man in Uttar Pradesh’s Mainpuri slapped a police official inside the station premises on Tuesday. Apparently, he was called for counselling in another case. However, the man suddenly became enraged and started hitting the officer.

The video of this incident is going viral on social media. The video has been shared by a news agency in which it can be seen that both the man and the cop are having an argument over something. Suddenly, the man got furious and slapped the cop twice. The cop then held a chair and threw it at him.

According to the reports, the man was called to the police station on complaint of domestic violence. But he got furious and started beating the police official. Initially, the cop tried to calm him but when he started acting violently, the police had to use force to protect him.

Madhuvan Kumar, ASP Mainpuri said although his family members have claimed that he suffers from a mental disorder, if they provide any supporting documentation, we would take that into consideration while taking action.

At present, the accused has been arrested and taken into custody.

In other news, a man opens fire at an unidentified youth at Coco Cafe and Lounge in Panchkula at around 4:30 am on July 3. The man identified as Mohit, who hails from Ludhiana, fired three shots at an unknown man with an intent to kill but in the process, the gunshot hit the attacker’s accomplice’s foot who was standing by the car as the youth ducked to prevent it. During this, a bouncer was also injured as he attempted to prevent the attacker from entering the premises.
