Actor Shilpa Shetty has finally returned on the shooting of the dance reality show Super Dancer on Tuesday. The actress had refrained from shooting her current projects since the arrest of her businessman husband Raj Kundra in a case involving the production of pornographic content and posting it online via an app called Hotshots. After staying away from the show for almost a month, Shetty is reportedly back on the sets and is shooting for the upcoming episode, which will air on Sony TV this weekend.

Speculations were rife that Shilpa Shetty might be replaced by another celebrity judge but she has managed to return on sets. She is apparently shooting for next week’s episode today. According to a source quoted by ETimes, Shilpa has judged the show since it started in its first season in 2016. The makers were waiting for her to return and did not want to get another celeb in her place. The makers are glad that she has resumed shooting. Hopefully, she will continue on the show till the end of this season. It was also an emotional decision for her to gather courage and get back to work after her husband got allegedly involved in the porn apps case. The makers are happy that Shilpa is back shooting today and they did not have to look for a replacement.

Filmmaker Anurag Basu and choreographer Geeta Kapoor have been judging Super Dancer alongside Shetty. During her absence, her place was filled by several celebrity guest judges including Karisma Kapoor, Sangeeta Bijlani, Sonali Bendre, Terence Lewis, Jackie Shroff, and Moushumi Chatterjee.

Actor Shilpa Shetty on Monday issued a statement on her businessman husband Raj Kundra’s arrest in a case related to making pornographic content. Shetty said that there have been a lot of rumors, and accusations and alleged that unwarranted aspersions have been cast on her.

We don’t deserve a media trial. Please let the law take its course.

The 46-year-old actress said that a lot of trolling/questions have been posed, not only to her but her family too.

The Securities and Exchange Board of India (SEBI) on Wednesday fined a penalty of ₹ 3 lakh on Shilpa Shetty, her businessman husband Raj Kundra aka Ripu Sudan Kundra, and their company Viaan Industries for violation of its Insider Trading rules. The market regulator further ordered Kundra, Shetty, and their company to remit/pay the penalty within 45 days of the receipt of the order. Shilpa and Ripu are the promoters of the firm.

The SEBI said that a fine has been imposed on Kundra, Shetty, and their company for a delay of three-year in the mandatory disclosure to stock exchanges. The market regulator said the penalty has to be paid jointly and severally by Kundra and Shetty.

Securities and Exchange Board of India had conducted an investigation into the trading/dealings in the scrip of Viaan Industries Limited (formerly known as Hindustan Safety Glass Industries Limited), during the period September 01, 2013, to December 23, 2015. Pursuant to the investigations, it was observed that Ripu Sudan Kundra, Shilpa Shetty Kundra, and Viaan Industries Ltd had allegedly violated the provisions of Regulations 7(2)(a) and 7(2)(b) of SEBI (Prohibition of Insider Trading) Regulations, 2015, SEBI order said.

The SEBI order noted that in 2015, Viaan Industries made a preferential allotment of 5 lakh equity shares to four persons but in the said preferential allotment, the company allotted 128,800 equity shares each to its two promoters–Kundra and Shetty amounting to ₹2.57 crore each.

As per Regulation 7(2) (a) of SEBI’s Prohibition of Insider Trading Rules, 2015, promoters of the company are required to disclose their transaction to the company within two days, if the amount exceeded ₹ 10 lakh.

Actor Shilpa Shetty broke down on Friday when the crime branch officials reach her Juhu house with her husband Raj Kundra to record her statement in the case involving the production of pornographic content. Shetty also shouted at Kundra, officials said.

She claimed to have no connection with the controversial app HotShots — where allegedly the porn videos were being produced and distributed.

During the six hours of questioning, Shilpa Shetty told her husband that the case is portraying the family in a bad light and that several endorsements have backed off in the wake of the issue, officials present at her residence said.

However, Kundra told Shetty that he was innocent and did not make porn but erotica.

She had told police that she was unaware of the exact nature of the content on the mobile app via which Raj Kundra is accused of streaming pornographic content. She also underlined the difference between porn and erotica and said her husband was not involved in producing pornographic content.

Raj Kundra, 45 was arrested on July 19 by Mumbai Police. A magistrate’s court sent him to police custody till July 27. A day after his arrest, a lot of data was deleted from the records, said police.

In a new development, four employees of businessman Raj Kundra, have turned witnesses in the case involving the production of pornographic content and uploading it via the app. The employees told police that they were asked to delete clips, reports said.

Reports said that Kundra’s employees have also confirmed that the clips were uploaded from HotShots, the businessman’s controversial app that the police believe was used for streaming porn.

Police said the app was removed from the Google Play Store for Android phones and Apple’s App Store, so the accused activated Plan B and launched another app, Bollyfame.

His wife Shilpa Shetty had told police that she was unaware of the exact nature of the content on the mobile app via which Raj Kundra is accused of streaming pornographic content. She also underlined the difference between porn and erotica and said her husband was not involved in producing pornographic content.

Businessman Raj Kundra, the husband of Bollywood actor Shilpa Shetty, had connections with a London-based firm floated by his relative which was into producing pornographic content for India, said Mumbai police on Wednesday.

Kundra was arrested on Monday night in a case related to the alleged creation of pornographic films and publishing them through some apps. Later, he was produced before the court which remanded him in police custody till July 23.

According to Mumbai police, Kundra’s Vian Industries had a tie-up with UK company Kenrin, which owns the ‘Hotshots’ app which is allegedly involved in publishing pornographic films. The Joint Commissioner of Police, Milind Bharambe told reporters that the content creation, operation of the app, and accounting was all done through Vian Industries and published via Kenrin which is owned by Kundra’s brother-in-law.

The case against Kundra was registered at the Malwani police station on February 4, but the charge sheet was filed in April because there was lots of electronic evidence to be scanned to build a strong case, informed the police officials.

During the investigation, it was revealed that the company named Armsprime had prepared the app hotshots for Kenrin and there were other individual apps too. Before the Mumbai crime branch took over the case, there was a complaint with Maharashtra Cyber about the racket, said Mr. Bharambe.

Soon after the investigation, producer Roma Khan, her husband, actress Gehna Vashishth, director Tanveer Hashmi and Umesh Kamath who used to look after  Raj Kundra’s firm operations were arrested.

As per officials, in total 11 persons have been arrested so far in the case, and there are some wanted accused too. The crime branch has frozen at least ₹ 7.50 crore in various accounts of app operators as crime proceeds.

Meanwhile, Kundra has denied any wrongdoing and sought anticipatory bail in the case.
