Rachin Ravindra, an all-rounder from New Zealand, is the batter with the most World Cup centuries. He extended his incredible record at the Cricket World Cup 2023 in India by hitting his third century of the competition. The left-handed batsman broke idol Sachin Tendulkar’s remarkable 27-year-old World Cup record with a brilliant 108 from 94 balls. Rachin’s three centuries in this World Cup alone have surpassed the records held by Glenn Turner (1975, two centuries), Kane Williamson (2019, two centuries), and Martin Guptill (2015) for the most centuries by a Kiwi batter in a single World Cup edition.

In CWC history, Rachin’s three tonnes are also the most by a batter from New Zealand. The all-rounder’s third century is also the greatest score by a batter in their first World Cup.

Rachin scored three century in the World Cup before reaching twenty-five. Sachin Tendulkar turned 25 before he had two WC tonnes.

In terms of having the most runs in a single World Cup edition before the age of 25, Rachin and Tendulkar are now tied.

Rachin scored 523 runs at an average of 74.71 and a strike rate of over 107 in eight matches so far, including three hundreds and two fifties. His highest rating is 123*. With 545 runs, he is the second-highest run scorer in the competition behind Quinton de Kock of South Africa.

Prior to scoring 25 runs, Sachin previously scored 523 runs in the 1996 World Cup. Rachin has a chance to pass Sachin since there is still one group stage match and maybe one or more knockout matches left.

Rachin needs just 10 more runs to tie the record set by Jonny Bairstow, who scored the most runs by a batsman in their first World Cup with 532 runs (in 11 innings).

Ashwin made them lined up in a way that it read ‘Axar Patel and Ravindra Jadeja’ on their jerseys. Who is Rachin Ravindra?

Rachin Ravindra who plays for New Zealand cricket team was born in New Zealand but his parents were from India and later shifted to New Zealand. Rachin was named after the legendary batting duo of Sachin Tendulkar and Rahul Dravid, his father was huge of both cricketers so he decided to name him by taking the initial two words of Rahul and Sachin and named his son Rachin.
