A shocking news came to light on Monday from Uttar Pradesh’s Amethi, where a man assaulted his wife to death. Police has arrested the accused as the the case belongs to the Hardoiya village of Musafirkhana Kotwali area.

The news broke this morning and tweeple seemed rather upset over this brutality as this is not for the first time that such incident had happened in Rahul Gandhi’s constituency.

Last month, a woman was brutally murdered by her husband in Amethi. The man put his wife to death, then himself surrendered after reaching the nearest police station.

On getting information about the incident, a large number of police forces including SP-CO reached the spot. The police questioned the relatives and neighbors and got hold of the matter. The accused was identified as Jagdish Yadav, who is a resident of Satthin village under Bazar Shukul police station.

He had a dispute with his wife Jog Raji and later the quarrel increased so much that the husband first cleverly took the wife out of the village, then in the deserted field, attacked her with a sickle.

And not just that, when he was sure that his wife had died, he threw her in a pond and ran from the spot. However, what seems like case of mental illness as well, the man called their daughter and told her that someone had chopped off her mother’s head.

Later, Jagdish Yadav reached the police station after calling the daughter. When she reached the Sultanpur police station in the neighboring district and narrated the whole incident to the police herself, there was a stir in the police department as well. The accused husband was taken into custody by the police. The police reached the village and took detailed information about the incident.
