The veteran actor Rishi Kapoor aka Chintu is no more with us. He passed away last year due to prolonged illness. However, his movies, songs and fun banters still live in our memories rent-free. He belonged to the first family of Indian cinema – the Kapoor clan. In 1997, Rishi Kapoor gave an interview to Simi Garewal on her much-popular show Rendezvous with Simi Garewal, along with his brother Rajiv Kapoor aka Chimpu. But, what caught our attention was the BTS of that interview in which Rishi and Rajiv were seen having a little banter in which they were saying to each other that how much you talk man.

In the interview, it can be seen that when Simi thanked them for being on the interview and said cut, Rishi and Rajiv Kapoor took a pause as they were waiting for the cameras to be shut. However, the cameras were still rolling and they both were seen having fun banter.

After taking a pause, Rishi Kapoor says to Rajiv Kapoor that how much you talk man. He further said that you speak so much, mera sir paka dia tune. He also said to Rajiv that you are a headache because you speak a lot. He concluded by saying that sometimes it feels like you are a doll and we just started you with the key.

On the birth anniversary of Rishi Kapoor, the makers of his last film, Sharmaji Namkeen shared the first look of the film on Chintu Ji’s 69th birth anniversary. In the first look poster, Rishi Kapoor is seen holding a briefcase in his hand and was smiling his heart out. He was carrying a sweater and muffler and he was looking adorable in it.

Bollywood actor Rajiv Kapoor, brother of Randhir Kapoor and late Rishi Kapoor, passed away on Tuesday. The 58-year-old suffered a severe heart attack, following which he was rushed to the Mumbai hospital.

Rajiv’s sister-in-law and veteran actor Neetu Kapoor shared the news on Instagram. Sharing a picture of the actor, Neetu Kapoor wrote, RIP. Bollywood critic Komal Nahta tweeted that the actor died of a heart attack. 

Randhir Kapoor also confirmed the sad and shocking news, saying that he has lost his youngest brother. The doctors tried their best but could not save him, he informed the leading daily, adding that he is at the hospital, waiting for his younger brother’s body.

Rajiv Kapoor was the son of the legendary actor-filmmaker Raj Kapoor and Krishna Raj Kapoor. He was younger brother to Bollywood actors late Rishi Kapoor, Randhir Kapoor, Rima Kapoor and Ritu Nanda. 

The actor has passed away months after his elder brother Rishi Kapoor’s death. Veteran actor Rishi Kapoor died after a two-year-long battle with cancer on April 30, 2020.

Rajiv Kapoor stepped into Bollywood with 1983 film Ek Jaan Hain Hum. He was seen as the lead actor in his father Raj Kapoor’s last directorial venture Ram Teri Ganga Maili. His filmography includes popular movies like Hum To Chale Pardes, Lover Boy, Aasmaan, Mera Saathi, among others.He was last seen in Zimmedaar.

Apart from acting, the actor was also a film producer and director. He turned a film producer with the 1991 film Henna, which was left incomplete due to his father’s demise. He also backed films like Aa Ab Laut Chalen and Prem Granth. 

Rajiv was all set to make his Bollywood comeback with Ashutosh Gowariker’s sport drama titled Toolsidas Junior, co-starring Sanjay Dutt.

Bollywood actor Sanjay Dutt has been roped in for a sports drama titled Toolsidas Junior. The film is based on a snooker champion to be played by child actor Varun Buddhadev. The film also stars Rajiv Kapoor, brother of late Rishi Kapoor in a prominent role.

Producers Ashutosh Gowariker and Bhushan Kumar made the announcements on their respective social media handles on Friday. While Ashutosh and Bhushan have collaborated earlier for music in Swades and other films, this would be their first joint film production.

Toolsidas Junior will be written and directed by Mridul, who previously co-directed and co-directed Missed call. The movie represented India at the  Cannes Film Festival in 2006. It is also enlisted in the Films Division’s honour list of Best of Indian Cinema.

The veteran actor Dalip Tahil will feature in a negative character, playing the role of a snooker champion in the film. Filmmaker Ashutosh had earlier spoken about taking Dalip for the role in a press statement.

The film will also mark the comeback of Rajiv Kapoor after a gap of 30 years. He was last seen in the 1990 film Zameendar. Going by reports, Sanjay will feature as a snooker coach while Rajiv Kapoor will be portraying Varun Buddhadev’s father in the film. However, the details about the characters have not been officially revealed as of now.

Meanwhile, Sanjay had taken minor break from work as he diagnosed cancer in October. The actor recovered last month from the illness, and has resumed his work now. His upcoming projects include KGF: Chapter 2, Prithviraj, Bhuj: The Pride of India and Torbaaz. He was last seen in Mahesh Bhatt’s Sadak 2.
