The Jal Board’s decision comes as South Delhi Mayor Mukesh Suryan announced that the meat shop in South Delhi will be closed till Monday due to Navratri. Meat shops in Ghaziabad and other parts of Uttar Pradesh will also be closed during the 9 days of Navratri. Some districts have also banned meat during the month of Ramzaan.

The meat ban controversy comes days after Karnataka right-wing outfits held a drive against meat.

At the Taif Observatory, a CCD camera was used to capture the Ramzan crescent. It was seen in all observatories across the kingdom, including Sudair and Tumair.

Taraweeh prayers, special night prayers in Ramadan, have begun in the Grand Mosque Makkah, The Prophet’s Mosque (Masjid Nabawi) in Madinah, and other mosques across the Arab world from April 1, 2022.

Ramadan 2022 guidelines in Saudi Arabia

The Saudi Arabian government has issued a directive that all restaurants in Saudi Arabia will remain closed during the day of Ramadan. But all these restaurants can open in the evening so that people can take food for Iftar from these restaurants. Along with this, instructions have also been issued that cameras are not allowed in any mosque. The live streaming of Namaz has also been banned by the government.

Ramzan is the holiest month in the Islamic calendar. It is the ninth month of the Islamic calendar and is observed by Muslims all over the world. It is one of the most significant periods in Islam when people observe a fast known as Roza.

When Roza is observed, no food or drink should be consumed when the sun is up. People eat their first meal known as sehri, early in the morning and break their fast with iftaar in the evening. All believers consider this month to be auspicious and holy.

The last day of the month of Ramadan is marked by Eid-ul-Fitr when people break their fast and celebrate with a feast.
