The season of festivities is here. Dussehra is celebrated every year on the tenth day of Shukla Paksha of the Ashwin month. This time it is falling on October 5.

People all over the country celebrate this festival by organizing Ramleela, which symbolizes the victory of good over evil. Ram Leela is organized in societies where the play depicts all the history and story of Lord Rama and how he demolished the most powerful King, Ravana.

While some Ramleelas grab attention for their grand celebration and specialized retellings while some are in the headlines for their vulgar and obscene content.

One such video has come to light from Uttar Pradesh’s Sambhal, where Ramleela pandal organizers invited bar girls for a dance performance. The video is going rounds on social media and people are slamming the pandal organizers for such an act.

In the video, a bar dancer is performing to the Kanta Laga song while those posed as Rama and Lakshmana are sitting on the stage, watching her perform the item number.

The video of the vulgar dance performance has gone viral on social media. People got furious after watching this and are demanding strict action against the organizers.

One of the users tagged Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath and UP Police on Twitter and asked them to lodge an FIR against organizers who have allowed this in a religious programme. While another asked the police to arrest these organizers and demanded a ban on such Ramleelas.

A similar incident happened in Uttar Pradesh’s Rampur district two years ago when the vulgar dance was performed by young girls at Ramleela. The locals claimed that in a bid to earn quick money, the organizers arranged the dance performance in the Milak area of Rampur after Ramlila got over.
