Bollywood actor Rani Mukerji is back with a bang in a never-seen-before role in the upcoming drama Mrs. Chatterjee vs Norway. The official trailer for Ashima Chibber’s movie was unveiled by Zee Studios on Thursday.

Rani’s character decides to battle against all odds, the governments and even her husband who is more concerned about his citizenship rather than the children. The following trailer shows the struggles, misery and unwavering determination of a mother.

The film depicts a mother struggling to get back her children who have been taken away by child protective services. The trailer has already garnered a ton of positive reviews from viewers.

Mrs. Chatterjee vs Norway is about a Bengali woman who lives happily with her husband and their two children in Norway. However, everything was good until one day, the Norwegian government takes their children away because they think Debika and her husband are unfit to take care of the kids.

The government does not understand the Indian culture of feeding the kids by hand, sleeping with parents in the same bed, or putting ‘kala teekas’ on the kids, and claims Mrs. Chatterjee is mentally unfit, hence they put the children in foster care.

The film is based on real-life events. It talks about how the foster care system aims to earn more money by taking unethical steps and snatching children away from their parents.

Rani has already left her fans and Bollywood in awe with her heart-wrenching performance in the trailer. After Bunty aur Babli 2, fans are thrilled to see her in what’s being termed her best performance to date. Praises for her acting are pouring in from all over social media, and people can’t wait to see the film.
