Yo Yo Honey Singh, the popular rapper, is celebrating his birthday today. To make it more special, the OTT giant Netflix announced a docu-film on the rapper, Bare It All.

Going by the teaser, the docu-film will see Yo Yo Honey Singh’s ups and downs in his life and career. It will also cover his sudden disappearance from stardom and some behind-the-scenes moments.

In a statement, the rapper said he received tremendous love from his fans and they deserve to know his story. He also said the Netflix docu-film will give everyone an honest and sincere account of his life, upbringing, and his current journey to return stronger.

Helmed by Mozez Singh, Bare It All is bankrolled by the Oscar-winners Guneet Monga and Achin Jain from Sikhya Entertainment.

Born as Hirdesh Singh, Yo Yo Honey Singh is one of the most popular rappers in the Indian music industry. He started his career in 2003 and took over the industry in no time as he gave back-to-back hits like Desi Kalakaar, Blue Eyes, Brown Rang, and other rap songs that ruled every celebration and radio show.

In a statement Guneet Monga said Singh resonated with the youth and took over the Indian Music industry by storm. He was a star even before he shot to fame in the press and his tumultuous journey with fame intrigued the whole nation, she continued.

Monga also said she wanted to explore his story and thankfully Netflix supported it by giving unique, diverse local stories to a global audience. She also shared excitement for the audience to meet the man behind the country’s rap and hip-hop music and the controversy that followed.

For those unversed, Yo Yo Honey Singh landed in controversy after his wife filed an FIR against him accusing him of domestic violence. He also took a long hiatus and was last seen, before his re-entry, in the Star Plus reality show Raw Star.
