One of the largest EV manufacturers Tesla has been criticised by the customers many times over the issue of its autopilot model. A similar incident has been reported in Germany, where a lady took strict action against the company by filing a lawsuit in Munich court for not getting the benefit which has had paid for.

The leading German news website Der Spiegel reported that the customer has filed a case in Munich court regarding the company’s autopilot mode. To which the court heard her plea and ordered Tesla to reimburse her the amount of EUR 112,000 (roughly Rs. 90,00,000) that she has paid for the Model X.

It has been reported that the vehicle’s autopilot mode is not reliable, it doesn’t spot obstacles like the narrowing of a construction site and applies the brake itself when not needed. Customers said this type of technical glitch can cause major accidents and it could lead to big collisions.

In its defense, Tesla’s lawyer argued in court and said that the Autopilot was designed in such a way that it will allow customers to identify big objects in the city, traffic, and animals on their way. To this, the court replied that it is not feasible for drivers to keep on switching on and off the feature manually in different settings to distract the customers from driving.

Meanwhile, United States regulators are investigating the company’s advanced features after it had reported more than 15 autopilot-related accidents. Earlier, it has been also reported that due to the wrong indication through the feature, customers had lost his life.

Earlier, Tesla’s CEO, Elon Musk revealed that the company soon will launch a better and adavnce version of the full self-driving feature which will allow the customers to experience hassle-free driving.
