India’s one of the talented and star wicketkeeper-batters Rishabh Pant met with a horrific car accident on the Delhi-Dehradun highway on Friday, when was on his way to his hometown Uttarakhand’s Roorkee. Now, the cricketer getting treated in Dehradun’s private hospital and is likely to be airlifted from there to shifted Delhi’s hospital for further treatment. Amid this, Delhi & District Cricket Association (DDCA) issued an official statement, under which it said that there will be no VIP moment at the hospital to meet him as it will increase the chances of spreading the virus.

District Cricket Association director Shyam Sharma also urged Pant’s fans and VIPs to avoid meeting him in person as it will put him in more danger. He said the wicketkeeper-batter is out of danger and needs proper rest to recover from the severe injuries. He also informed that the BCCI doctors are constantly in touch with the doctors who are treating Pant and they told them he is out of danger now.

In addition to that Sharma said Secretary of the Board of Control for Cricket in India Jay Shah also is in talks with the doctors there and told them the board is ready to provide any kind of assistance to the medical team there. As of now, he’ll remain admitted here, Sharma said.

Meanwhile, it has been reported that the cricketer narrowly escaped serious injuries after a vehicle hit the divider on the Delhi-Dehradun highway. As per the details shared by the police, it was revealed that the cricketer dozed off at the wheel which leads to the horrific accident.

Haridwar’s (Rural) Superintendent of Police, SK Singh told the media that there were some locals who were present at that moment to save Pant’s life by taking him out from the burning car when on his way to Roorkee to meet his relatives.
