The Shershaah fame actor Sidharth Malhotra is all set to make his digital debut with Rohit Shetty’s web series which will soon release on Amazon Prime Videos. The eight-part high-octane action-drama series will also marking the digital debut of filmmaker Rohit Shetty. The project is titled, ‘Indian Police Force.’ The actor made the official announcement yesterday and today he shared the video stating the filming of the series starts today.

Both the actor and the director took to social media to post the filming video of their upcoming OTT cop series. This series will be directed by debutant director Sushwanth Prakash. He has previously worked as the assistant director for Rohit Shetty’s Dilwale and Simbaa. The ‘Indian Police Force’ will be shot across Mumbai.

Reportedly, Sidharth and Rohit were in talks over a probable collaboration for a while now. And finally, things have fallen into place with this series. Although it’s a cop-based series, but the treatment and the tone are very different from what the audience have already witnessed in the digital world.

After the successful release of Sooryavanshi last year, director Rohit Shetty and his team have been working relentlessly on this script and are planning for further building the series. Moreover, considering the OTT platforms are filled with cop dramas, the makers wanted a different signature style to reflect in the cop caper. Rohit Shetty wants to present this series in a way that is appealing to a global audience.

Earlier, Ajay had shared that he and Rohit Shetty will be working on Singham 3 soon. Moreover, it is unclear whether Sidharth’s Amazon Prime Video project will also feature cameos from the other cops in Rohit’s universe. Apart from Singham 3, Rohit Shetty has almost completed the shooting of his next film ‘Circus,’ starring Ranveer Singh, Pooja Hegde and Varun Sharma.
