A descendant of 1857 heroic warrior Babu Kunwar Singh died has died in a private hospital in Bihar’s Jagdishpur under suspicious conditions. He was the resident of ward number-18 Garhpar of the city under the Jagdishpur police station area of ​​Bhojpur district of Bihar.

Sources said Kunwar Rohit Singh alias Bablu Singh (38), a descendant of 1857 hero Babu Veer Kunwar Singh family, died on Tuesday due to police brutality. His family is also claiming the same.

Kunwar Rohit Singh alias Bablu Singh, 38, was the son of BJP leader Pushpa Singh.

There was a ruckus in the hospital after the death of BJP leader Pushpa Singh’s son who belongs to the family of 1857 warrior Babu Kunwar Singh. The protestors were remained adamant till night demanding action against the guilty and calling the senior officers including Chief Minister Nitish Kumar to come to the hospital.

Considering the seriousness of the matter, an SIT has been formed.

The relatives of the family told the reporters that at around 12.15 pm on Monday night, some people had left him in an injured situation at the referral hospital gate. Later, he died on Tuesday after a few minutes of treatment

Following his death, a protest had been started outside the hospital.

On the assurance of the Sub-Divisional Officer, the body was brought to Sadar Hospital at around 9 pm. Later, the post-mortem of the body was started by constituting a medical board. When the body reached Sadar Hospital for post-mortem at 10 pm, the protestors were adamant on the demand to call the District Magistrate and the Superintendent of Police to come to the spot immediately.

At around 11 pm, DM Roshan Kushwaha and SP Vinay Tiwari reached Sadar Hospital and assured the people of investigation and action. The body was taken to Jagdishpur after the post-mortem.
