A major accident came to light in Maharashtra on Friday. At least 7 people were injured after a school bus fell into a gorge in Maharashtra’s Raigad. The tragic mishap took place near Gharoshi Wadi on Raigad Killa road.

As many as 32 passengers were onboard the vehicle at the time of the accident, out of which at least 7 people were injured including the school students and the driver. They were evacuated and rushed to the nearest hospital for treatment.

The police squad arrived at the scene as soon as the tragedy was reported, and with the assistance of locals, they transported the injured to the hospital.

Those injured were reported to be in a stable condition. Raigad police have registered a case of accident and are conducting further investigation.

The students were from Jnana Prabodhini Navanagar Vidyalaya in Maharashtra’s Pune. The incident took place when the bus was returning from Raigad Fort. The exact time and cause of accident is not known yet, reports stated.

In another accident that took place recently, as many as four people were killed in a collision of an auto-rickshaw and a dumper truck in the Raigad district. The accident took place near Chola village in the evening when both vehicles were going towards Poladpur.
