The infamous Sheena Bora murder case has taken another twist as the accused Indrani Mukerjea wrote a letter to the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) that her daughter is still alive and the CBI should look for her in Kashmir.

Indrani Mukerjea told that she met a woman in the prison who said that Sheena Bora is still in Kashmir. In the letter, Indrani wrote that the inmate who told her that Sheena is still alive is a female government official. She further urged the CBI to probe the claims.

Indrani sent the letter on November 27 and she got the information from the inmate on November 25. The inmate told Indrani that she saw Sheena in Srinagar where she was on a vacation.

The reports say that Indrani’s lawyer Sana Raees Khan will move the application before the special CBI court on December 28.

Indrani Mukerjea was arrested in August 2015 in connection with the 2012 murder case of Sheena Bora. Currently, the trial is going on and is underway before the special CBI court.

Sheena Bora was allegedly abducted and murdered on April 24, 2012. Indrani Mukerjea, her ex-husband Sanjeev Khanna, driver Shyamvar Rai and Peter Mukerjea were said to be involved in the conspiracy.

The CBI said in this case the dispute between Sheena Bora and Indrani started after they had a huge fight over some financial issue. After the murder, Indrani said that Sheena moved to the US. Later, the news of the murder started surfacing after Indrani’s driver was arrested in a separate case.
