Former Chief Minister of Maharashtra Devendra Fadnavis’ wife Amruta Fadavasis recently made a remark that is drawing flak on social media. She was talking to a reporter and at that time she said that Mumbai’s traffic is the cause of three per cent of divorces in the city. She further said that the condition of roads and traffic is so bad in Mumbai that it is leading to divorces.

Amruta Fadnavis said that she is saying this as a common citizen. She further said that once she goes out, she witnesses several issues including potholes, traffic. Due to traffic, people are unable to give time to their families and three per cent of divorces in Mumbai are happening due to it.

Soon after that several users started ridiculing her comment. Shiv Sena MP Priyanka Chaturvedi also ridiculed her comment and said that the best (il)logic of the day award goes to the lady who claims 3 per cent Mumbaikars are divorcing due to traffic on roads. Please take a holiday break rather than having a mind on break.

She further said that Bengaluru families please avoid reading this, can prove fatal for your marriages.

Another user wrote that more than three per cent divorces because of her song.

Yet another wrote that Is she blaming her own husband for all this? Don’t know about three per cent divorce due to traffic but I am sure at least one will go through divorce pretty soon!!!
