Punjab Congress President Navjot Singh Sidhu on Friday attended a press conference in Chandigarh where he4 lost his cool while answering a question on the distribution of labour cards. In the video, it can be heard that he used a cuss word while answering the question.

In the video, Navjot Singh Sidhu was asked that the central government has also started to make labour cards, when will Punjab Congress started doing so. To which, he replies and says that our scheme is not that, we give an urban guarantee and nobody has ever given that. After this, he uses the cuss word and says that it is a different thing altogether.

He further said that it is a state government thing, why would we give that. Sidhu also said that the Central government has never given the urban guarantee.

In the press conference, Sidhu announced about the Urban Employment Guarantee Mission to give the right to employment to urban employers if his party retains power in the forthcoming state elections.

While launching the scheme, he said that this mission would be started on the lines of the Mahatma Gandhi National Rural Employment Guarantee Scheme (MGNREGS), which is a centrally sponsored scheme. The scheme will lay focus on giving employment to the urban poor, unskilled labour in towns and cities of the state.

Sidhu also said that his revolutionary ideas as USP of his Punjab model of governance. He also said that these ideas would change the lives of the urban poor. He further led an attack on the CM and said that the government is ruled under CM Channi does not register the urban labour, including construction workers, and does not even give full benefits of MNREGA to the rural poor.
