The Punjabi singer and Congress leader, Sidhu Moosewala, was mercilessly murdered in broad daylight in Punjab’s Mansa district’s Jawaharke village on Sunday, May 29. According to reports, 30 rounds of ammo were fired at him, and he was murdered a day after his security was pulled down by the state government. The murder of Moosewala sparked a political storm.

Sidhu Moosewala’s last rites

The last rites of Sidhu Moosewala will take place at 12 pm on May 31. An update on his social media handle said, Our brother Sidhu Moosewala’s funeral visitation will be held on May 31st at 8:30 am in the morning. The cremation will take place at 12 pm in village Mansa.

A huge crowd gathered outside Sidhu Moosewala’s house before the funeral and people paid their last respect to the late singer. His body has been brought to the village from Mansa Civil Hospital.

Sidhu Moosewala’s murder

After Sidhu Moose Wala’s murder, his mother, Charanjit Kaur, was overheard telling the media, Mujhe bhi goli maar do, ab kuch nahi bacha mere paas. It’s undeniably a massive loss for her, and we can’t really imagine the anguish she’s dealing with at the moment.

Goldy Brar, a Canadian gangster, has claimed responsibility for the murder, and authorities are looking into the involvement of those linked to Lawrence Bishnoi, whose organization Brar is a member of.

Shubhdeep Singh Sidhu, popularly known as Sidhu, was born in Punjab, India. Moosewala was a politician, actor, rapper, and singer. He had received a lot of attention with his hit song So High. Moose Wala, who is known for his controversial lyrics and support for gun culture, was picked by The Guardian as one of the top 50 up-and-coming artists in 2020.
