In a shocking incident, seven people died as an ambulance that was returning from Delhi collided with a truck in Uttar Pradesh’s district today. It is reported that the victims including six members of a family from Pilbhit were returning from Delhi in the ambulance after a check-up, said police.

Police said that the accident took place early morning on the Delhi-Lucknow national highway. They also said that the ambulance first hit the divider and then collided with the truck, which resulted in the death of the driver and six other occupants of the vehicle.

It is reported that all the victims have been identified and their family members have been informed about the accident. Police said that once they arrive, the bodies will be sent for post-mortem.

As the news of the accident came in, Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath also expressed condolences to the families of the victims.

SSP Bareilly, Rohit Singh Sajwan, said that the ambulance was coming from Delhi. He further said that there were deceased members of the same family, one of them was ill and they were returning from AIIMS. The ambulance collided with a truck and all the seven people in the ambulance, including the driver, died. The bodies have been sent for postmortem.

The pictures of the fatal accident were shared by the news agency ANI. In the pictures, it was seen that the ambulance was shattered in pieces after it collided with the truck.

Police immediately arrived at the spot of the accident and informed the family of the victims of the fatal accident.

In other news, former Mumbai’s Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB) zonal chief Sameer Wabnkhede, who handled the drugs on cruise case and wrongly arrested Shah Rukh Khan’s son Aryan Khan in a drug case in 2021, has now been transferred to Chennai.
