Actor Janhvi Kapoor, on her late mother and actor Sridevi’s 57th anniversary,  posted a heartfelt note on her social media handle. The veteran died due to accidental drowning in Dubai while attending a family wedding. She was 52.

Janhvi took to Instagram and posted a throwback photo featuring mom Sridevi and herself sharing a happy moment. In the photo, the little Janhvi is smiling ear-to-ear along with her mother. She captioned it as, Happy birthday Mumma. I miss you. Everything is for you, always, every day. I love you.

Soon after, several celebrities like Dia Mirza, Manisha Malhotra, and others showered love on her post in the comment sections.

Janhvi lost her mother in the year 2018, just months ahead of her Bollywood debut with Dhadak. Earlier, on her mom’s third death anniversary, she had shared a picture of a handwritten note, presumably penned by her mother. I love you my labbu. You are the best baby in the world, read the note.

Janhvi’s younger sister Khushi, who is also stepping into the Bollywood industry,  also took to her Instagram story to share a photo of Boney Kapoor and Sridevi. “Miss you every day, she wrote. 

Sridevi was last seen in Mom. She was also honoured with Best ActressNational Award for her role in the movie. Janhvi had attended the National Awards wearing one of her mother’s kanjeevaram saree.

Meanwhile, Janhvi also recently celebrated one year of her film ‘Gunjan Saxena: The Kargil Girl’. She shared multiple pictures from the sets and wrote a long emotional note.

On the work front, After Dhadak, the actor featured in director Zoya Akhtar’s short film in the Netflix anthology Ghost Stories. She then starred as Gunjan Saxena in the Gunjan Saxena: The Kargil Girl, and in horror-comedy Roohi. Her upcoming movies include Dostana 2, Takht and Goodluck Jerry.
