India is all set to take on Pakistan in their opening fixture of the ICC T20 World Cup 2022. The mega sport event begins on October 16 but Men in Blue will kickstart their campaign on October 23 at Melbourne Cricket Stadium in Australia.

India has been placed in the second group along with Pakistan, South Africa and Bangladesh. On the other hand, group one has Australia, England, New Zealand and Afghanistan.

It seems like Mohammad Shami is likely to replace Jasprit Bumrah. The Indian pacer posted a picture from he flight as he left for Australia. Shami was declared fit to play after he pas the fitness test at NCA Camp in Bengaluru.
