Amazon Prime video released the teaser of its upcoming web series Tandav on Thursday. The nine-episode series starring Saif Ali Khan will premiere on January 15. The series is being created and directed by Ali Abbas Zafar and produced by Himanshu Kishan Mehra and Ali Abbas Zafar.

The teaser of the political drama begins with Saif Ali Khan, who is essaying the role a politician, waving at the crowd which has assembled with political flags. Saif’s entry is accompanied by a voice-over in the background saying “Hindustan ko sirf ek hi cheez chalati hai, rajneeti. Iss desh mein jo Pradhan Mantri hai wohi raja hai (India is run by only one thing, that is politics. In this country, the Prime Minister is the king),”

Tandav boasts of many big names in star cast including Saif Ali Khan Dimple Kapadia, Tigmanshu Dhulia and Sunil Grover. Kumud Mishra, Mohammed Zeeshan Ayyub, Kritika Kamra, Sarah-Jane Dias, Gauahar Khan, Kritika Avasthi, Dino Morea, Anup Soni and Paresh Pahuja will also be seen the political drama among others.

Tandav will be first web series of Dimple Kapadia. Khan, on the other hand, made his digital debut with the very popular The Sacred Games in 2018. the series also marks the digital debut of director Ali Abbas Zafar.

Talking about the web series, Zafar said the series will take the audiences into the power hungry world of politics. He said while watching the series, the audiences will realise that there is no black or white in the world of power, it is all about greys. He added he was lucky to have a powerful cast for telling the story and hoped the intriguing story will reach million through the OTT platform.
