Tata begins official booking for upcoming updated Safari and Harrier, check details

The leading Indian car manufacturer Tata which has gained a lot of appreciation with its top hot-selling products Safar and Harrier is all set to woo customers again as the company decided to release an updated version of both vehicles. As per the report, it has been suggested that the updated version of king SUVs will hit the market next month.

Ahead of the official release, the company already started accepting the booking for the same. Interested customers can now pre-book the vehicle from the authorized store or they can simply visit the company’s official site and book it from there.

Both SUVs likely to receive some minor noticeable changes in terms of cosmetics. Reports suggested that it will likely come with an of ADAS capabilities including a 360-degree camera, frontal collision warning, autonomous emergency braking, traffic sign recognition, high beam assist, lane departure warning, blind spot detection, and more. However, both vehicles will have panoramic sunroofs, but only the Safari has ambient lighting inside the left and right sunroof margins.

Both SUVs will also be equipped with the new infotainment system, which will replace the outdated 8.8-inch touchscreen with a 10.25-inch model that supports wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay compatibility. Voice commands are also supported in six different languages. Both now have a 7-inch semi-digital instrument cluster as well, under which customers will able to see important notifications such as tyre pressure, RPM, speed, current gear, fuel capacity among others.

Under the hood, the company did not touch anything, which means both the vehicles remain come with the 2.0-litre turbo-diesel engine that will generate 170hp and 350Nm peak torgue. It will feature either a 6-speed manual or a 6-speed automatic gearbox.

After getting a lot of positive responses from customers about the ongoing Tigor EV, the homegrown carmaker Tata is all set to win the hearts of many car enthusiasts with its upcoming updated version of the Tagor EV. Reports say that the firm is likely to unveil the hatchback somewhere around in mid of the next year. However, the company has not revealed any official details regarding the same.

During the launch event of the Tiago EV a few months back, Tata revealed that they will soon be updating the Tigor EV because the car makers have launched the Tiago with so many advanced features which Tigor does not offer, in order to maintain that balance they will give their customers something which will increase customer’s trust towards the company.

Talking about the big changes, the upcoming EV will come with a new exterior paint scheme. The customers also will witness the list of features including cruise control and good quality leather seat upholstery. The official images which have been shared by the company indicate that new red body colors will be offered alongside the ongoing Daytona Grey and the Teal Blue shades.

In terms of mechanical aspects, the same 26 kWh Lithium-ion battery pack, generating the power of 76 bhp and 170 Nm of peak torque will remain the same. However, there are expectations that the upcoming Tigor EV version is likely to provide a driving range of 306 km on a single charge.

Amid this, the leading car manufacturer in India Tata also has been working on the CNG version of Altroz. If rumors are to be believed, the customers are likely to see the launch of the same around next year. Apart from this, facelifted versions of the Harrier and Safari midsize SUVs are also lineup to be unveiled at the 2023 Auto Expo in January.

Tata Nexon EV to get power upgrade, new spec leaked

The Indian carmaker Tata launched its Nexon EV in early 2020, which has achieved a decent sales volume of over 2,600 units. After the success of Nexon EV the company has introduced another updated Nexon EV dark edition, if you think this is it, then you might be wrong because Tata is also set to launch the updated version of its 2022 Tata Nexon EV, which will hit the market on May 11, 2022.

The company has not revealed many details about the car as of now, but reports revealed that the mid-size SUV is likely to come with a new 40kWh battery pack, which will provide long-range as compared to the current model. Customers also can expect some noticeable changes in terms of the interior as well as exterior.

The report suggested that the upcoming Tata Nexon EV is likely to deliver a range of over 400km on a single charge. The firm also might introduce a more powerful 6.6kW AC charger. Currently, the existing model comes with a 30.2kWh battery pack delivering an ARAI-certified range of 312km on a single charge. It has a 3.3kW AC charger that fills the car in 10 hours.

Key features

The will have an electric sunroof, LED with DRLs, projector headlamps, 7-inch touchscreen infotainment system, which will support Android, Apple and auto carplay, a smartphone app for remote vehicle monitoring, dual automatic climate control, rear AC vents, reverse parking camera, multiple airbags and much more.

Current Nexon EV Specs

The sub-4m EV is equipped with Permanent Magnet Synchronous Motor (PMSM) that generates 129 horsepower and 245 Nm peak torque.

The EV comes with a 30.2 kWh lithium-ion battery pack that provides an ARAI-certified range of 312 km once fully charged. The car goes 0-100 kmph in just 9.9 seconds.

The company has provided two charging options in Nexon- normal charge and fast charge. The car takes an average of 8 to 9 hours for charging from normal charging (from 10% to 90% SOC) while it takes 1 hour on fast charging.

The carmakers have provided a maximum 8 years, 1.6 lakh km warranty for its battery, which is the highest as compared to other companies.
