Delhi University (DU) is finally going to reopen and this time students will be able to attend classes through offline mode after a long delay. As the number of cases of corona decreased, several students demanded that the university should remain open in offline mode.

After which it has been decided to open the university. However, a section of students expressed their dissatisfaction with the decision of reopening colleges and said that this is an injustice to the students who will come from distant areas. On social media platforms, these students are demanding to continue DU studies in online mode as well and have started trending a hashtag HybridModeShouldBeAChoice.

A section of students is demanding that classes should be continued in online mode as well. As of now, students believe that the university should be operated in an offline mode, but the online facility should be kept open for some more days.

This will allow the students to get enough time to reach their university, and allow them to make their own travel arrangements. For this, many students are also tweeting on Twitter with #HybridModeShouldBeAChoice.

DU Colleges To Be reopened from February 17

Due to the outbreak of coronavirus, the Delhi University took the decision to keep the studies in online mode. However, now as the cases have reduced, the University has decided to reopen colleges from February 17, 2022, and this time in an offline mode.

Soon after this announcement, students were divided as some were relieved by this news, on the other hand, some showed displeasure. The decision of reopening the University was taken by the DU Academic Council. The regular classes will continue from February 17. This official announcement was made by issuing a notice on behalf of DU’s V.C Yogesh Singh.

One of the students wrote that this decision is causing trouble to the outside students. The final year is important for them as many of them have to appear for competitive exams once this semester is over.
