In Uttar Pradesh’s Kushinagar district, police foiled an elderly Tantrik’s plan of taking Bhu-Samadhi for his tantric learning.

A video of the incident is making rounds on social media and the twitter users are calling out the Tantrik a sham.

The video shows that the Tantrik, identified as Lallan aka Sadhu Yadav, had a dug up a pit and was about to take bhu-samadhi amidst devotional songs in Macharia village of Kushinagar district, the reports said. But as soon as the police reached there, the people present on the spot can be seen running away.

Then the police reaches near the pit and pulls out the Tantrik, who had wrapped himself in white clothes and was trying to bury self using soil. The elderly man seemed reluctant to coming out of the put but was forcefully saved by the policemen.

Once the police pulls him out of the ground, the Tantrik’s condition worsens and the elderly man seems to have lost his consiousness. The cops then are seen reprimanding other people present at the spot for not stopping the elderly man from doing so.

Further, the police made the Tantrik sit down and asks a boy to fetch a glass of water to wash the Tantric’s face. The elderly then regains his consiousness and begins to talk.

The tantrik has told the police that he was taking bhu-samadhi for some tantrik learning. His wife and two children have already died and was living with his daughter Poonam and two grandsons, the reports say.

The Tantrik told the cops that no one in his family knew about this. It seems that he had announced to take samadhi to gain fame as many people visit him for tantra-mantras. The people involved in the act are also being traced, Kushinagar police said.
