A video has surfaced from Pilibhit district of Uttar Pradesh exposing the tall claims of development work being done by the government. In this viral video on social media, a man is seen exposing the negligence posed in road construction. The quality of the newly constructed road is so bad that the man is seen uprooting the road with his own hands.

Under the Pradhan Mantri Sadak Yojana, a road is being constructed from Puranpur to Bhagwantapur village in the district at a cost of Rs 3 crore 80 lakh. But the material used for this and the method of making it is quite substandard.

It was seen in the video that the contractor laid the asphalt mixed with ballast on the dust itself. To show this poor quality, the passers-by began uprooting the road with their bare hands.

Actually, the new road was uprooted from the tire when a driver applied brakes of a vehicle on the previous day. This aroused suspicion in the minds of passers-by, and when they touched one side of the road, part of the gravel and bitumen fell into their hands. After this people made a video from their mobile and made it viral on social media.

The villagers are now preparing to protest against the poor quality of the road. It is alleged that apart from the contractor, Junior Engineer (JE) has an important role in this whole matter.

BJP MLA had also expressed displeasure

Notably, BJP MLA Vivek Verma from Bisalpur Vidhan Sabha of Pilibhit district had also recently exposed the poor quality of another road construction. During this, the MLA had broken the bricks brought for construction with his own hands. In fact, the widening of the road going from Bilsanda to Bamrauli in Bisalpur and the construction of a drain was to be done for 30 lakh rupees, in which substandard materials were used. Seeing this, the MLA was furious and he had given instructions to investigate the matter
